I can well understand why you really don't wanna see Novak winning another HC major abmk. ;)

I like all the 3 well and above djokorray. Especially Tsonga who is quite clearly capable and deserves to win a slam. Delpo could do with a 2nd slam as well given he's the best of the 3.
Finally, I don't want djokovic to win any more slams, not just any more HC slams ;)

So I see that Thiem's way too packed schedule for the first half of the year is catching up with him. Played about 65 matches this year already. Also for some stupid reason he's on the entry list for ATP250 Metz in 2 weeks time. He's stupid I swear @Meles. He'll cause himself a massive injury at this rate, we are already seeing him suffer the consequences.

I sense Monfils has got a big performance coming up...

Oh I know you don't want him to win any more majors period, but especially the HC ones.

I'm beginning to think the damage has been done. Jogging and now he retires with knee problem. I've never heard of a minor knee problem. I agree that he is stupid. I believe he's not told his team of some of his problems wanting to keep playing so badly (case in points was showing up for Rogers Cup when he could have skipped due to injury and increased his points by bringing in ATP 250 result.) This is from over everything. At this point he needs match play, but his body is a mess. If he manages things well he's still got a good chance to make WTF.

What a weak era!! One man is dominating while other so-called Fab-3 are not competing level (except Murray for somewhat). I felt somewhat no interest in watching tennis after yesterday's Matches especially Nadal's and Djokovic matches. Initially, everyone was telling what a tough draw has been handed to Djokovic and look what happend till 4th round there no challenge at all.. And Otherside, what stubborn guy is Nadal.. no change in tactics, no strategy.. same theory keep on applying since 2010.. Someone has to go Toni and tell him new kids are challenging his old tactics..

Am spanish guy.. sorry for english but over all I mean to say is one man is dominating is not good for tennis and tennis fans

I don't know about you, but its hard to support a guy who is reluctant to do ANYTHING new whatsoever. I'm finding it to be immensely difficult to support Rafa now. A new coach is the first step. Then slightly modifying technique ---because its harder to time and accelerate racket at older age----and strategy is the next step. But the odds of him actually making these changes? slim to none.

I like how things are in the bottom half of the draw, but the top half is meh. Djokovic against 3 French pretenders. I hope they wake up suddenly and put up some tough challenge onto Nole. Both of the bottom half QFs are intriguing.

Little dip from Stan in the 4th, but I think overall he's playing really well. Marchenko brought some top-20 game in the 4th and 5th -- nothing to sneeze at. Anyway, it wouldn't be a Stan match if there wasn't some drama. It's how he handles it that tells me where his level is.

I think Stan is playing rather poorly, as he has all year. If Delpo is fit he will beat Wawrinka once again.

I was very sceptical about his game during Indian Wells, Monte Carlo and Rome, when others were becoming enthousiast and hopeful. Despite the descent performances, he was still playing the same old game, just a little bit better than he has on average these last few years. It seems he believes he only needs more match rythm and form, to reach his old level again. Unfortunately he's become just a bit too slow for his game to remain a winning strategy. Also in the long run his body can't keep up with his grinding game anymore, every good performance seems to be quickly followed by a physical breakdown. But as you said, he refuses to change his game. Against Pouille he often regressed back to his natural habitat miles behind the baseline.

You know, even if Rafa hired a new coach, I doubt he'd make the adjustments suggested. The guy is too set in his ways! He's a dog tht will only heed one master: Toni Nadal.

Oddly, I have a strong suspicion that Toni was right when he said the problem was with Rafa. There's no way Toni hasn't been suggesting changes to Rafa. I just think Rafa hates changes.

If the draw was more balanced, say one of Nishi/Delpo/Stan in the other half, the era wouldn't seem so weak.

This tourney was missing something big from the off. But I almost feel like it's been tainted now. However it plays out from this point, seems like a bit of a busted balloon. If Djok "wins" this... you gotta figure it becomes his least valued major title.

not necessarily. I don't want him to win any more slams. Period. But we both know that's not going to happen. He will win atleast 1-2 slams more, given he's still good enough and the weak era of today.

The question is, if a Djokovic at 90% of his peak at the start of the year (even though he say's he is close to 100%), is good enough to take it. Personally I think it is. A 100% Murray vs a 90% Djokovic. That is the question.

Should Monf advance to the finals, guess who he displaces at #7 in the rankings? Surely there's a lesson in there somewhere.

Go through life dancing, showboating, clowning, wasting your talent and nailing some of the hottest tennis babes and you can still come out on top?
Had a feeling we'd see a different sort of Fed upon his return.

What is all this talk of The Guru advancing to the finals.

Do people really believe he has a chance ??

Or is it just more TTW Nonsense.....
15/15 sets-wise. He's looking good.

Admittedly, after yet another lie-down for Djok, my hopes are dimmed a bit. Even though it's kind of irrelevant, something seems amiss. Did Tsonga's bomb bring anyone else down?

Ok you seem to believe Monf has a chance - Belive me no one would be more happy to see Schlokovic go down but to the Guru !?

I love Monf - but he's not in the Great adulterers league

I'm not buying it - sorry ...

Is Djokovic casting a spell over his injured opponents here?
