Welcome to our first Masters Series Event of the 2017 ATP Sudden Death League Season:

BNP Paribas Open, Indian Wells
9 - 19 March, 2017
Outdoor Hardcourt

RULES (Indian Wells & Miami Masters):

1. You pick one player who you think is going to win. It's a knock out-system: if the player you picked wins, you're through to the next round. If he loses, you're out.

2. You can pick a player only ONCE. Obviously it's important to make smart choices in order to get far. If you have no picks remaining, you're eliminated from the competition.

3. You can't pick a player from a match that has started already.

4. You cannot advance to the next round via a walkover since it is hard to know exactly when someone announced they were pulling out HOWEVER this rule does not apply once you reach the semifinals.

5. Since you can no longer win a match by a walkover it is highly advised that you make a back-up pick to your main pick - when listing your picks make sure you specify which is your back-up.

6. In the semi-finals, you are still encouraged to make a back-up pick should you have more than 1 pick remaining. If your pick receives a W/O (i.e. opponent withdraws), then you advance to the Final.

7. If the player you picked retires during the match, you're out. If he retires before the match, your back-up pick will be used.

8. If the opponent of the person you picked withdraws and is replaced by a lucky loser your original pick will stand unless you specifically change it.

9. NEVER edit your pick. If you want to change your pick, please quote your old pick and choose a new player. Edited posts will not be taken into consideration.

WARNING:
The schedule is going to be of paramount importance at this event given our slightly awkward pick structure, so I will do my best to keep this thread up to date with Orders of Play for each day, and will highlight and attach/link the Full Main Draw to this page once it becomes available. Please make sure to track your progress and get your picks in on time to avoid disappointment.
Also: goes without saying, but for those outside the US, be aware of the time difference as usual (GMT -08:00)

Actually, you know what - let's go for it. Qualies for IW and Miami included now seeing as there's still at least 12 hours to go before the first matches begin.

That face when using the second seed in the first round is a bad idea. I had so many maybes but I went with the safe pick- Istomin. Now I know I should've chosen Lajovic over Dodig.
