Speaking tennis wise, Kyrgios is miles ahead of Zverev. The only two things that are holding Nick back are his attitude and being very prone to injuries. Agree, Sasha has a very good mental game, but physically, and technically Kyrgios is ahead of him.
I wonder how many will agree with this assertion. Me, I see Zverev as the better player. His game on an off-day is probably 60-70 % of Nick's best. Can we say the same about Nick's?

Mega bummer. Elias played like a top 20 player today. :(

Tell me about it. Such bad luck in betting to start the week. Was up 3300 last week and now I just lost it all back. Lost 1k on Cavs game yesterday followed by a 500 dollar loss on my pick to win the second set TB; she was leading 5-1 and went on to lose the TB 6-8. Then placed 1k on Del Potro. Now lost 690 on Isner as well. When it rains it pours.

Sounds like you're chasing. Maybe you should take a break.

Basilashvili is a sure thing tomorrow. :)

Tough match.. Berdych hitting all the spots and Chung is too timid at the moment. Hopefully Berdych's level will drop, allowing Chung to back out off that corner he's being pushed in right now
yep. I only saw highlight but berdy was hitting chung's spots and Chung just hit to him most of times (I've watched several chung's matches and looks like that it his game for now: Just hitting to opponents and having a point. the strategy might work for challenger level but won't work at ATP level in my opinion).
I strongly think that chung needs new coach who has ATP experience and they can give better game plans and some improvements for other areas.
6-3, 7-5 was not bad against Berdy.

Well I'm not sure if you can say that his game doesn't work for ATP. I think he just looked extra pushy today because he didn't have his best day and was getting outplayed. He did beat Zverev and Monfils recently, among others so his game should be good enough to work. I think he's trying to go for a Djokovic kind of play eventually. He did say that Novak is his idol.

The coaching part is true but I think he currently doesn't have the money to hire a better coach.

He definitely had his chances today. Was up a break two times in the 2nd set but got broken back immediately and then a couple of times more. His game on serve was completely lacking today, hitting DFs on crucial points.

Oh well, it's just a 250. RG up next. For now he should focus on getting his ranking up in the top 50 so he never has to play qualies for anything again.

Benny pairs has a brother, who knew.
Turns out this brother plays tennis too.
Older bro Thomas (32) who never cracked the top 1000 before chucking his career in '11.

Nice touch by Lyon to give a WC in dubs to the bros and they won 1R before losing 11-13 in the superbreaker to the #3 seeds.

Isn't it funny how the younger brother is usually the better player. Murray, Paire, Zverev ect...

Years of being beaten by your older brother seems to install a determination into these guys.

You bet on the sliceomatic on clay?

Anderson crushes Ninja 6-2 in the first, but Kei pumped after early break in the 2nd.

he was on a 6 match win streak on clay .. seemed like a good idea at the time .. he should have won the 2nd set but choked away multiple points

I see Basilashvili is through to the SF, destroying Kicker in straights. The guy can catch some serious form every now and then. Wouldn't surprise me seeing him in the final.

Can't believe Raonic choked that set. Dropped a grand on him to win the first set. Had multiple set points and even the mini break in the TB. Ended up losing. Sigh.

Berdych wants that maiden Slam! He's picking up his game just in time for the RG/Wimb period. Probably realizes that his odds have increased with the top players either not in form or absent.

I've been scrolling through just the third page - you're dropping an awful lot of money ...

Tsonga beats Berdych in straight sets, 7-6,7-5 to take his 15th ATP title and 11th at 250 level. It's also his 8th title won on home soil!

He now moves ahead of fellow-countryman Gasquet to tie Wawrinka (at time of posting) and Haas as joint 8th in number of titles won by active players.

Edit: He now ties Haas in 9th place following Wawrinka's win today in Geneva.

First title on clay for Jo.

Good news just a few days ahead of RG. :)
