Kuzy up 5-1 on Mladenovic in the 3rd.
Looking like we'll get a Kuzy v Pliskova match. Haven't had many matches this year between two top 10 players, will be nice to have another.
Kuznetsova ranked 8th whilst Pliskova is ranked 3rd.
Edit: forgot that we also have Halep v Wozniacki as a QF which will also be an all top 10 match. Halep at #2 and Caroline at #6.

Konta is fed like with her serves. Always able to come up with an ace or an unplayable serve when it matters. It's funny, for every time I bet my friend that konta is going to either hit an ace or an unplayable serve when she's in danger, I'd have about 15k right now (1k for each time I'm right).

Some good returns from Konta. Osta is getting a pretty good kick serve but you can see she's trying to find some oomph to put in it. It's just sitting there for her opponent to whack so good to see she's at least trying to put something on it. Not working out so well right now.

Her 2nd serve has been suspect since I started watching her last year. She's at least getting some kick on it but still sitting there. Looks like she's forcing it a bit last few games.

Good match. Too bad I lost 450 on Ostapenko to win the whole tournament. From 4*-2 to 4-6. Wow. Reminds me of another bet I lost: when Stosur lost to Halep from being a set up and leading 5-2 in the second set with a MP. I swear all my bets are logical and great bets but somehow "luck" always screws me over. Something so unlikely to happen happens. I'd be a billionaire by now if such luck always favored me when I'm on the losing side. Such thing only happens when my pick is winning. God, I'm so great at picking matches with such luck. /Rant

Yeah, that's her main problem at the moment. Her return of serve and her groundstrokes sting like a bee, but her serve only floats like a butterfly.

Definitely her second serve. She double faults a lot and there's not enough punch on it. Her second serve is like Murrays before he improved on it lol.

I should've hedge on this bet. I'm sure the odds of Konta winning when it was 4*-2 was like +800 or something. Wow imagine if I dropped a grand on that, would've won 8k. But who knew that she would end up winning. Do you bet?
