Two things I need to "Beach" about:
1. The Woz's game is SO frigging boring to watch, that she's "insufferable" as bigger drama queens than me would say. Her punishment for boring me is NEVER winning a slam! <insert evil laughter here>
2. I'm watching the tourney on "bein", which is another form of torture, and the "bein" chick keeps calling Eastbourne, "EastBERN". The first time I heard her say that a few days ago I thought, is that how the locals pronounce it? But none of the Brit commentators pronounce it that way. Stupid focking beach.

I was surprised Konta got up and finished the match. It was a very nasty fall.
Instinct and drive will get you through. Even at their prime ages bruising / swelling catches up with you.
That is why she could not play.
This isn't some Hollywood film where the hero gets up and carries on you know. Real life isn't like that. She may still have further complications so.. a game of tennis, even a semi final is not worth it.
It would not surprise me if Konta can't play at Wimbledon.

If/when Halep becomes #1, I think she'll give them both a run for their $$$.Kerber and Murray competing on two fronts. Who will stay number 1 longer and who will suck more at being number 1.

I fell over on the stairs in 2014 & fractured my tailbone-was temporarily paralysed for several seconds & had to get down the stairs on my ass. Stood up, didn't cry & walked around. Took 9 months to heal & couldn't lay flat on my back & sitting wasn't easy for that entire time, even on a Coccyx cushion. Sorry, but top level athletes play hurt all the time. If she couldn't walk fair enough, but she was wandering around backstage with no issues this morning & laughing & joking on her interview about it so the pain is far from unbearable obviously. She has the option of retiring at any point during the match if she cannot carry on, at least make the effort.

The title would push Pliskova to 6855 points. Halep's on 6920 and Kerber's on 7035.
Pliskova would be over 1200 points in front of Kerber in the provisional live rankings on Monday and she'd be over 500 points ahead of Halep.
Looking very good for her to become #1. Hope she wins the whole title though as I don't want her being a slamless number 1.

Do you think Kerber thought she'd get up from that and beat her?! I don't think we'll see Nurse Angelique again anytime soon. Meryl Konta was losing to someone a day or 2 ago. Called the trainor. Then won the match. Slips and goes BOOM! Cries/lies, face-down for a few... ten minutes later, shakes hands & sells Kerber a bridge. The way she's going, if she sprains an ankle in 2 weeks, she'll win a slam.Sure!

Wozniacki now in with a shot at the number 1 ranking. She needs to win the Eastbourne title and the Wimbledon title but still a small shot.
If Pliskova wins the Eastbourne title, then both Wozniacki and Svitolina can't be number 1 after Wimbledon.

In Kerber's defense, she still holds a slam title and slam final. Wozniacki has been consistent this year and towards the end of last year but she's 0/3 in finals this year and only holds a Premier title and International title both from last year.
