According to Corretja in spanish Eurosport, putting extra tape in his forearms is something Nadal does in very damp conditions. Rather than injury, it's a sign of discomfort.
But RAFA did call the trainer and he gave him some kind of pudding to eat..... what was that about ????????????? if RAFA is injured ,, is this Rain a blessing ? will it give him enough time to get 100 % again ??????

Rafa wins a match 6-3, 6-1, 6-2 and looks unstoppable. Nadal fans: "Rafa looks fully fit and will win this. No one can stop him!"

Then, in the next match, it goes this way:
Nadal wins the 1st set 6-1. Nadal fans: "Rafa is in the zone, this will be a straight set win with two bagels".
Nadal loses the 2nd set 5-7: Nadal fans: "Rafa must be injured"/"It's the knee again"/"He has a blister".
RNadal wins the 3rd set 6-3: Nadal fans: "Rafa looks fit again. This will end in four. A bagel is coming".
Nadal loses the 4th set 6-7: Nadal fans: "Poor Rafa! His knee hurts him again".
Nadal loses the 5th set 5-7: Nadal fans: "Poor Rafa! He was injured from the get go!".
I don't know about the other Nadal fans, but for sure there are five or so posters here who make up 90% of the injury poast traffic

Only someone that has never played a real sport in their life would disagree. It's a stupid as believing that your level doesn't fluctuate day-to-day. Or if you play great one day and not the next it's because you're mentally weak or unprepared. The logic just doesn't hold up.

I have played a sport in real life and I most definitely disagree. As would a lot of people who have played. It's a matter of opinions.
You can have yours but waltzing in here with a stupid statement that only someone who hasn't played a real sport would disagree with you is pretty stupid.

But Rafa was the one needing to change and he wasn’t. Why would Schwartzman need someone to tell him what to do? Nadal was heading for a straight setting if he doesn’t get told how to play. Disappointing in that sense I think. But that’s what happens when you’re used to being told what to do by Toni.
I take your point but the rain delay has affected Schwartzmans chances, that’s undeniable
.

Toni? Isn't Moya Nadal's coach. And coaches can tell players all they want, they don't have to go out there and execute it, the players do.

That's life. Mother Nature can't be controlled and it affects both players and both players have to learn how to come back and deliver. Nadal constantly does it and others can't.

Rafa won 3 games in a row, so the 2 became a 5

No ****, Sherlock! I couldn't have figured out this myself.

Nadal found his range and started standing up to the line, hitting deeper and taking control.

Diego hit a couple of good winners but couldn't deal with the extra pressure on serve. Also struggled a bit to find his timing after the break and wasn't able to hit quite as well in the heavier conditions.

Thanks for the info.

Hey I'd meet you. I guarantee we will share drinks and laughs with @vive le beau jeu !

Then when we talk about tennis I'll be the odd one out as the Nadal fan, and will see how many octobrina poasts I can quote verbatim before either or both of you catch onto my devious plan.

Would be pretty easy to do. You'd just have to say "Fed devotee" a bunch of times and we'd figure it out.

That’d be too easy.

I’d just quote some non sequiturs, recite some fedr MTO stats (there is a large sample size to draw from), and take us on a few trips to the nearest underwear store to have you convinced that I might watch you sleep at night from inside your wardrobe.

I read somewhere that he told the tournament director it wasn't anything serious. Didn't look injured, just played a bit poor and Diego GOATed for some parts
but it was weird in that first set... Clearly I could see RAFA's shots were falling short with much less RPM and weight than usual in the 1st set....... but then at the end of that 2nd set,, Rafa's shots looked heavy with depth again and could see the crazy movement that he normally gets. Diego couldn't rip it anymore from middle of 2nd set on.
