Yeah, nice battle this. Andreescu is making quite a few more unforced errors than on that 6 game run, so she's letting Svitolina back in. She did recover very well after that crazy long point around 2-2. I thought for a moment there that we had seen the end of her stamina. Alas, no such luck for Svitolina!

I love that you love Bianca.
One minor suggestion, if you don't mind, is that you just give her straight-up congrats.
Would you say, "This Tsitstipas gentleman is a feisty one!"? I'm guessing not. I'm guessing you would have simply said, "Tsitsipas is feisty!".
You don't need to call Bianca a lady. Just describe her as the athlete she is.
Again, my apologies for calling you out for 'dancing around' your congratulations. You are many steps ahead of most of us. So...thank you.

I've always loved Svitolina...but I'm Canadian and am full force cheering for Bianca! Svitolina is taking it to her. Can Andreescu hold on to her lead? No idea. Sigh.

Not a great last set there from Elina. Served poorly, missed opportunities playing passive on break points and never got to grips with that lob ball tactic all match. Andreescu is clearly a great talent but for Svitolina big opportunity gone. Having said that it was a good run for her on that pace of court. I would be surprised if Bencic doesn't win this event from here but anything can happen.
Unlike you Katie, concentrate on you're own game would be sensible.

Svitolina didn't do much, except defending and hanging on, the whole match was on Bianca's racquet.
She can change directions like Halep, but she also has power and finesse (drop shots, lobs, slices etc).
It was fun to see Svitolina loosing the power exchanges, on both wings, but especially on the BH side. Svitolina even told her coach as much during on court coaching...
Once Bianca builds her fitness even more she will move to greater things, like GSs!

This is Kerber’s first final since winning Wimbledon. Definitely hasn’t had the greatest results since then. Until this week her only other SF since Wimbledon was Doha last month. Kinda crazy she could be so close to #1 but at the end of the day she does hold a slam and could leave Indian Wells with a Premier Mandatory title too.
