Someone call the police because Federer just got out of jail.

I feel sorry for his dad/team/coach, the verbal assault Tsitsi threw to the box was way too much, I hope someone can tell us what he was yelling during the entire match.

The super tie break was 5-2 in favor of tsitsipas and he was ready to serve. You cannot find a meaning of what he said. He literally tells his father without cursing just shouting at him: Don’t tell me how to serve just a millisecond before i am ready to serve and accused him for breaking his rhythm. In other words he tells him to stop speaking LMAO.

After winning the next point he then looks at his father and telling him DONT you ever speak again showing him who the Boss is and that he wants to do it his way.....and also cursing a normal phrase Greeks use: f your mama.... sth like that.
Ok yeah he is like an animal now out of control LOL

And again cursing at his father one more time after winning the match [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

Lmao, Goffin is an absolute mug. And always has been. I still have no idea how he managed to get a win over all the big 3 players given his pathetic mentality.

Federer announced he's playing for another 5 years (albeit at an exhibition), honestly him and Nadal/Djokovic can be top 5 for the next 5 years. The men's tour is an absolute joke. I can't believe Goffin blew that set, wow.

ATP truly is dead once the big 3 are gone.

Just when I am pulling for Federer he is looking so shaky. Hope he comes through and will be there in final to stop Djokovic. But he is not gonna stop Djokovic with this kinda form.

What a steal that set was lol

To my recollection Fed has been excellent in tiebreaks this season though. That one match aside...

He doesn't stop Djokovic no matter the form. You have to go 4 years back to find the last time when Federer beat Djokovic.

The lowest seed left in the tournament outside of Rublev (who's playing Zverev next and is the underdog) is Berrettini seeded 11th. OF COURSE Nadal isn't playing in this tournament.

Man the ATP really does lack what the WTA has. That mental block against the big players. While players don't choke when serving out matches against Serena and Barty, the men just can't serve out sets and matches against Djokovic, Federer and Nadal.

That was bad from Goffin.

Or .. just saying it .... the Wta lacks big champions like Djokovic, Federer, Nadal and Murray :)

Well they only played one match and Rublev played as well as I've ever seen him against a meh Fed. Need a bigger sample of matches to make a judgement.

Still, the Ziraffe is less likely to bring a game that pushes Fed IMHO, and I enjoy watching Rublev when he's on far more than ABZ.

To be fair they didn't play for two of those years. But yeah on the basis of what I've been seeing Federer would be lucky to see a TB.
I never want to see a tiebreak between these 2 ever again.

Federer sucks in tiebreaks against Novak nowadays.

Served for the set at 6-5, had 3 SPs and got broken(not 40-0 though)
Had a 5-2 lead in the TB and 2 more SPs at 6-5 and 7-6 but lost 9-7.
Not sure how he squandered them though bc I didn't watch it either.

I saw it and Fred was being Fred while Goffin was being Goffin.

Fred is just better than Goffin, despite 50 UEs in two sets.

Without all this evolving, who knows...?

I can't concentrate on a tournament that Rafa is not part of which is very worrying, because he won't play forever and tennis has always been my #1 passtime.

This is the best non-Nadal draw I've ever seen.
Usually tennis is dead without Nadal.
But very much looking forward to Djokovic being eliminated by Tsitsipas or Medvedev :)
