G.O.A.T.
This. Unfortunately stats will show their high ranks and performance against a completely transient field, which, while inherently a completely unfair test, conveniently undermines the eye test that concludes as you have. Watch something like Deliciano from the US07 4R; he just isn't doing that anymore, nor would I ever expect him to.Peak Simon ended a while ago. It's easy to forget but all the Kohlschreibers, Fiasco's and Deliciano's and Seppi's as are oooold as fuuuuuck now. It's ****ing weird they're still top 100, cause they're not as close to as good as they used to be. Sure the average 35 year old is better than 15 years ago, but the point still stands. If youngsters at their physical peak can't compete with these dudes, then they're just not that great at tennis.
