After so many years, I finally understand Wilander's comment.
uh, who won last year vs this year
please face it; Nole loves slower hardcourts, not Nadal as is the ongoing fallacy around here...
What did Wilander say? Usually he's idiotic, but if he said something wise I'm sure we'd all love to hear it.
You've lost respect for him 'cause he was cheering his compatriot, teammate and doubles partner?
Man, I thought Christmas was last month  #Stanimal

Wawrinka in 5 is what I'm hoping for. Djokovic in 3 or 4 is what I think will happen, unfortunately.
something something fed's balls shrinking
From Stan in the ice bath:
Is this the same compatriot, team mate and doubles partner he tried to cheat against at IW last year?
Is this the same guy that he put down in a Davis Cup press conference re his performances when he himself also lost? To a lower ranked player btw?
I'm thinking deep downhe's happy a potential threat to his chances is gone. Unfortunately for him, Rafa is still alive for the moment.
You're looking too far into it I think. You can disagree and still be friends with someone. Especially if it's (possibly) long standing before you have a disagreement. You usually make up better then. I don't think Stan and Fed's relationship is terribly bad. Maybe not the best, but I don't think they hate each other. Just my 2 cents.
You are acting like Djokovic took Wawrinka to the woodshed last year. He barely won by the skin of his teeth last year, and could have easily been knocked out. I guess you didn't see how much Stan enjoyed the conditions, and how many times he had Novak on the ropes.
I know what you are doing with your Nadal agenda, but find a better argument. This one doesn't cut it. Both matches between Stan and Nole were decided by mere points, not sets.
Djokovic lost? I turned it off this morning in the 5th after Wawa lost serve
doesn't matter. Nole loves slow hardcourts! his defeat in this match is not the only evidence that points to this.
my only agenda is to alleviate ignorance such as Nadal being the player that loves slow conditions. this is simply not the case. Nadal enjoys high bounce conditions so he can better get under the ball and produce his tremendous top-spin and impact incredible shape on the ball. a faster hardcourt actually aids Nadal in his efficiency and puts even more pressure on his opponents.
Nole is the one who prefers slow HC conditions!
Like I said, I can see your agenda. A blind, sleeping in the dark basement Stevie Wonder can see what your agenda is. All I am saying is, and I will stick to it, that you used the result of this match as a poor example. Since, just like last year, this match up between these two was decided by mere points. And some say, if Stan had challenged that line call, he would have won that match also. Nole didn't get destroyed in this match, it went to the wire, just like last year.
seems as though you actually agree with my premise: Nole liking slow hard courts, not Nadal. so i'm not sure why you are so defensive
and sorry, but Nole won last year and lost this year. doesn't ultimately matter how close the result was, and please don't forget Nole's favorable/lopsidied h2h against Wawrinka.
i'll confidently conjecture that if the conditions were not faster this year, Nole would have defeated Wawrinka just like last year...
LOL, Roger Federer tweeted this.
Roger Federer @rogerfederer 13h
So deserving for Stan the man #nevergiveup #whatamatch #sohappy
Is that all he can say for his buddy ?

It was another match that could have gone either way. Wawrinka had opportunities to win in that match too, and it shouldn't be forgotten. So why the heck did Wawrinka lose at the US Open? :|

did someone else tell you you were delusional ? oh wait, I think quite a few have said that. Anyways let me say that again.
I just caught the highlights. Djokovics reaction at getting break point and then breaking in the 4th set was horrible, as was his roar for winning the set and the break at the beginning of the 5th. When I see this behaviour on court it makes me remember what I dislike about him and that I am glad he lost to Stan who showed much more dignity and respect for his opponent.
