Started watching with Carlos up 4-2 in the 3rd - he looked pretty bad, is his arm still hurting?

I only watched a few games, but man Carlos was spraying the FH. Near-Verdascian performance.

I think he's got physical problems. His movement was not great and I thought he was limping a bit walking around. And his FH is definitely an issue, hopefully it's just rusty and he's not doing any damage to the injury that made him pull out of Barcelona.

This was a really high quality match with a great amount of intensity. Both players did not try to build their points that perlongs the match and bores at times; they hit each others weaknesses right off every service and on and they charged the net well. A truly enjoyable match!

Struff played well, no doubt and is in good form. My criticism comes from him choking from 5-4 40-0 and making so many errors after that in that game. Opponents are licking that chops at that. It only gets more difficult from here and he needs to play better in the next round.
I don’t really disagree but he is very young so I expect that will be something he will master in the end. He wears his heart on his sleeve that boy

I don't know. Last year there was a wow factor about his speed. Speed kills. But Carlos is showboater. Players are getting used to his running down balls. Or his dropshots.

Overall due to his reportaire he is the top favorite but the scare factor is lesser than last year.
good call. Match was much closer in the end than it started out to be. In general I believe the biggest challenge to Carlos going forward is going to be his serve.

True. His second serve win % is amazing on clay and he survives. But once he will get to even grass, players will go after his serve.
