This is becoming a pattern. Carlos takes the first set and seems to be on a roll. Then everything reverses in the second set. I truly wonder if he is becoming more predictable to other players because they are now so familiar with his playing style.

His serve is the biggest issue alongside the shot selection.

Crucial hold there, I actually think Rublev could’ve pushed for the double break.

Carlos really struggling to maintain intensity. @Gary Duane makes a great point, he seems to just toss in a game full of errors at the start of sets. Opponents can sense it and if you can time it right you can capitalize.

His level has dropped a lot in the second set.
Do you think he should play in Rome no matter what happens today?

I don't expect things to happen. I just wait to see if they do. I'm not yet convinced this young guy is going to win a ton of slams in the future. If he does I will be pleasantly surprised. The thing that I don't like it is his serve and it seems to be very common in young players now. I don't think the main problem with his serve is his height.

If Raz loses today, Sinner should be penciled in as world number 1. Raz would have missed winning a title or making a final on clay after April. Clay is his bread and butter.

Rublex sticking it to The Sleeve ™ (Alcaraz) in the 2nd set.
What does this say about the state of men's tennis when a journeyman takes a set off an ATG?

Blessing in disguise if he’s feeling his elbow and needs some time off.

At this point I have no clue who wins RG. It is completely up in the air.

Carlos does way too much running around. I would get a new coach. See if Fed is an available. The wheels are gonna fall off sooner or later if he keeps this up

Haber and Courier are an embarrassment.

Courier almost completely ignored Lehecka yesterday and wouldn't stop fawning over Nadal.

Today Haber is talking about Nadal during the Alcaraz match. "He has great hands, like his idol Nadal"

Hasn't Alcaraz talked more about looking up to Federer, game-wise?

These guys are all Rafa, all the time. It's so ****ing cringe

Agreed. Courier especially has been really annoying lately.

And there it is. Really telegraphed and uninspired drop shot, and that’s all she wrote.

Carlos is no longer the Roland Garros favourite.

As it stands, I have zero clue who is.

He is the favorite but there are 3 favs and rest far behind. That is the truth.
