Tbh I feel like Federer will win this. Djokovic doesn't care enough about Cincy now that he has won it probably. Nadal will suprise a lot if he plays 2 tournaments in 2 weeks, and I'd advise him not to. Federer takes the chances he can get, and still plays some of his best tennis in these Masters on Hard, and Cincy is probably one of his favourites.

Cincy has always been one of Federer's best tournaments as evidenced by the fact he has won more titles there than anyone else. Until last year I thought he was virtually invincible there, at least if he got to the final but even that last bastion has gone. Djokovic has taken everything from him save the Slam count and the clock is fast ticking away on that one.

. lol but forreal a tad dramatic. tbh when fed went 3 sets against stan, i was like damn maybe he shouldn't be making the final.

I think Djokovic won’t care much more than in IW-Miami, so a conservative bet would be Federer, but who knows what’s going on in his head right now?

Nadal is struggling in montreal currently against fognini but if he survives that and goes deep, I reckon he should give cincy a run considering a easy draw he has got there

Potential Federer draw:

1R: Bye
2R: Berrettini
3R: Wawrinka / Basilashvili
QF: Tsitsipas / Medvedev
SF: Djokovic / Khachanov
F: Nadal (field is wide open)

My friend is already calling this an easy draw

Hmm, got a feeling Djokovic won't be going too deep in this year's tournament, especially after seeing Isner as a potential 3R opponent and I suspect he's still a little hungover from the Wimbledon final. I also have to question how strong his motivation will be after finally winning the event last year. Here's hoping he'll be firing on all cylinders by the time NYC comes around.

Great draw for Rafa and think he might consider playing here if he doesn't win the title in Montreal.

This is the reason why no 2 seed is so important for Us open. As it can help avoid big 2 member till the final which no 3 seed cannot add to that if you get easy draw earlier it will be just what you would order for yourself. SO Rafa if he doesnt win montreal then should no even think of skipping cincy but even if he wins then as well this draw should entice him to play.

Interesting that Murray is exactly in the quarter without any Big 3 player. So effectively we have anyone of the Big 4 in one quarter for himself. How great would it be if they all reach the SF.

I hope Nadal will play at all though, because if not the draw would be messed up again with Federer and Djokovic in the same half.

two-time champion Andy Murray, who makes his return to singles action for the first time since the Australian Open. The Brit must first get past Richard Gasquet, who he leads 8-3 in their FedEx ATP Head2Head series and defeated in the 2015 Cincinnati quarter-finals.

Murray is back, It will take some time for Murray to regain his form, hopefully he can get a few wins under his belt.

Cheers

I watched Murray play a bit in doubles at Rogers Cup and there is no way he has the strength, agility, or flexibility to win big titles in singles. He might win a match or two.

Nadal would be crazy not to play with this draw especially since he has no plans to play Beijing/Shanghai or Paris. Tons of free points are available here and it'd be wise to take them. Obviously Federer/Djokovic would be fairly strong favorites in a final over Rafa, but it's B03 and anything can happen.

Federer is definitely the smart bet. I doubt Novak views this as anything but a warm-up.
