So many ways to look at this, and both Connors and Lendl's should probably be valued higher, but it still comes down to The Big 3 for me. There are different ways to view this - outside of the "slams".

Overall winning percentage, though close: 1. Rafa 2. Novak 3. Roger
Overall titles (at any level): 1. Roger 2. Rafa 3. Novak
Big Titles (outside of "slams") 1. Novak 2. Rafa 3. Roger
Longevity at the top: 1. Roger 2. Rafa 3. Novak (but obviously, Fed is older)
(Debatable) Overall accomplishments per time on tour: 1. Novak 2. Rafa 3. Roger

To me it's either Djokovic or Lendl, but I choose Djokovic because his masters had a complete field.

Probably Lendl and Nadal.

Lendl won over 50 titles with at least a bo5 final format, and all of his yec were of the REAL and prestigious bo5 final variety, as were his 2 wct finals.

Rafa has one of the most rounded and impressive resume's with 33 ms1000's, 4 Dc's, singles and doubles gold, and 20 atp 500's.

Can't say I know enough about the specifics of the non-slam tournaments Lendl won to make a fair comparison. I think Djokovic takes it overall, however the change to BO3 finals and 1st round byes in masters does slightly complicate things

Most Nadal and fed fans used to compliment djokovic by that phrase
'' Major in minors ''
So there is no doubt, this award definately goes to Djoker ;)

I've never seen a player take the Masters events more seriously than Novak Djokovic. He really raised the bar this generation for all out 11 month effort.

But I'm sure it helps mentally & physically that none of them are Bo5 anymore, of course.

Means very little. It's essentially a bridesmaid feel-good award.

Lol masters, WTF, and any ATP titles for that matter, don't matter? :D

Not really Olympic gold is not that big and he has zero wtfs

Lendl and Connors actually won something like 150 events in total. Definitely going with Lendl here.
The only problem with Connors is that he was playing everywhere, anytime, all the time ... tournaments with 3 rounds, no rounds, WTA tournametns, alien tournaments, one before his breakfast, one after his lunch and another one before he went to bed :p;).

Indeed, but all the players did it in those days. Some of those events don't really deserve recognition but some of them do IMO.

What's the first thing you look at when checking out a player's record?
I don't know about you, but I always go straight for their slam timeline.
That's usually where I stop too.

Slam bam, thank you Ma'am!

Connors, McEnroe and Lendl didn't win Masters 1000.
Masters 1000 of Wiki are fake.

In between all mentioned, he drank beer and scored. What a hunk

Outside slams?

1) Pancho Gonzalez or Rod Laver or Kenny Rosewall
4) Jimbo Connors, John McEnroe, Ivan Lendl, Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal, Nole Djokovic

There are two type of tournaments. Tournaments where, theoreticly, all the best players enters and tournaments where not all of the best players enters. Second group you call minor and all others are first group. Do not pay attention to minor and everything will be simple and clear.

This is what I call a poll that everybody knows the answer before it starts.
Like the ones the political parties pay for.

Lendl and Djokovic are top two, I think and it's pretty close. I'll give it to Lendl right now.
The structure of the tour in the 80's was different though with the WCT circuit etc.
Yes and some of Lendl's achievements aren't listed in his official achievements but still were solid achievements. Like being a 5 time winner of the European Community championship (Antwerp), when I think it was the biggest pay day in tennis
