Big Berr have any shot?

Being tired, after playing a predictable 5 set exhausting match, will Big Berr have a shot at beating Rafa?

Have not seen him play too much, but I don't see how he can even compete with Rafa. Should be a blow out in straights like Fed did to him.

Rafa, even though he looked off at times against Diego can't really be too worried if he plays aggressive.

Book it. Rafa vs Dimi final.

Anybody seen Big Berr play a bit more that has some reason as to why he can take on Rafa? Was not impressed with his serve today.

He might zone for a set, but I highly doubt he will have the mental fortitude to win (we saw what happened we he faced Fedr at Wimby) also he'll be more gassed than Rafa. Worst case scenario Rafa in 4.

No, we don't need a new thread for every mug left in the draw that is inevitably going to lose to Nadal in 3 sets

Yep, unless he serves lights out, I don't see anything different than the Cilic dip match.

After barely crawling over the line against Monfils in a 4 hour excruciating grindfest, I would be flabbergasted if he could manage to take a set against Nadal on Friday night.

Haven't really seen him play much at all to be honest. Don't know how his return game is but i think he has a good serve and forehand. and he has won 2 tournaments without being broken once which is impressive.

The thing is, it will be his first meeting with Nadal. Do you know many NextGens who won or at least made competitive their first match against Rafa? Especially at slam level.

The last time I watched an entire match with Berrettini, he won a total of 5 games versus Federer in Wimbledon.

And the time before that, he lost in straights to Ruud at the French.

Nadal will stay away from his forehand and attack his backhand. 9/10 times Berretini goes cross court with his backhand and it's easy to spot when he'll slice. I predict he'll have an easier time against Berretini than Schwartzman.

From what I've seen of recent matches he really is just a ball basher with a big serve without too much depth to his game.

He would literally have to serve out of his mind and hit like 70 winners minimum. Make points short and quick - he'll get quite a lot of free serves with Rafa's return position so far back. Would have to win at least one or two tiebreaker sets.

He may well take the first set but he just doesn't have the capacity to stay consistent throughout a potential 4 or 5 set match against Rafa. All Rafa has to do is to keep getting the ball back deep and use spins and angles to drag him pout of position. The unforced errors will soon start to increase.

Still panicking that something may go wrong for Rafa with only two matches away from ultimate glory. Hope I'm wrong.
