Big match for Asian tennis tomorrow- Nishikori vs. Chung

In R3 of the grand slam, could this be the highest profile match between two men representing East Asian countries ever? I also think Chung has a solid chance here, he's been playing great while Kei has not been at his best.

Like your signature.

I'm looking forward to this match. Asia needs more tennis stars and the world needs more Asian players on tour.

Tough call. Chung in 4 or Kei in 3/5. :p

Let's get real people. Chung's having a great year -- YAY! And Nish isn't at his best lately. But Nish has stuff that young Chung hasn't seen. Nish in 4 unless Hyeon soars high and/or Nish has a terrible no-good very bad day . . .

Nishikori not looking good getting broken at 4-3. He doesn't seem to take Chung seriously enough and/or his body is letting him down (again).

Damn why couldn't Chung have won that set point? I hate this. I knew Nishikori would probably be better but it's a lot harder to accept when the margins are so small

He's taken the 3rd set breaker and is up an early break in the 4th in a war of attrition.

wow what a lucky break for Kei. He needs to regroup asap and this rain delay gives him that opportunity. Reminds me of that match against Khachanov where another rain delay benefitted him immensely.

Kei will only go five if he knows he'll win; if not, he will retire at the end of the fourth. Gotta keep that deciding set record.

In all seriousness, surprised he didn't wrap it up in three. Gotta be frustrating for him.

Chung was striking well and he did not give Kei anything in the tie-break. Not being able to finish in 3 caused Kei to lose focus. Hope rain delay helps him.

Weather.com says rain until 7pm Paris time. So I'm assuming they will resume play today, hopefully...

Chung was very impressive coming back from 2 sets down, pulling out the tiebreak and getting double breaks in the 4th set...Good to be 21 with fresh, tree trunk legs.

Couldn't watch the match :(. Can anyone summarise the match so far pls?

Looks like Kei was really lucky. He now has plenty of time to regroup both physically and mentally and with his experience, I think he still has the better chance to win the match.
