I was thinking of adding a little lead at 3 and 9, otherwise I like it , currently strung with cyclone tour at 52lbs, and probably going to to go a little lower?

Hi guys, I wanted to ask if anyone or @Babolat Official could tell if the Pure Storms and Pure Controls were foam filled? I know the previous gen red/black Pure Strike Tours were foam filled as many here on this board verified. A friend asked me this yesterday and I had no clue. I am hitting these days with Pure Storm Tours (GT) so curious myself as well. Thanks.

well I never played it stock
added lead at 2&10 to reach my ideal swingweight before stringing it
All I can say is that I don’t feel it harsh at all after extended use. (In contrast, aero pro drives makes my hand hurt in 10min)

Counter-intuitive. Put more weight inside the handle. An extra 10g to 15g of either Blu-Tack or Silicone gel. If necessary, then add a couple of grams total at 3 and 9.

This should give you more stability and plow without compromising too much on RHS, spin potential, and control potential.

My suggestion takes it to 335g to 340g strung and 10 points to 12 points Head Light.

I don't think that would be heavy or sluggish. But I suppose it depends on the player.

Agree, I have been testing the new pure drive tour and whenever I have Stiff string in there, I have arm pain for like 20 minutes, but as my arm loosens up, pain diminishes. But if I have softer strings in there , it is much better. I don't this frame mixes well with Stiff poly full bed

they did that on purpose to reduce the weight of the headguard. It can't be changed. it is GOOD headguard.

I have a question. You know this sealed in Barcode sticker on the throat of the babolat racket in picture below....... I had this racket for more than a year now and have been using it a lot and I see very thin hairline crack on the sticker itself right next to the barcode. Hairline crack isn't on the racket itself as far as I can tell. It is only in the inside the sticker where the barcode is. Is this something I have to worry about ??? What is this sticker made of anyway ? It seem to be heat sealed in and is part of the racket itself.

Add 5g to the inside bottom of the handle and 2 grams each at 3 and 9.

The sticker is a very important structural part of the racquet! Your racquet is useless now and you’ll have to buy a new Pure Aero. Do not continue using your racquet with the cracked sticker. You can have a catastrophic failure at anytime!

Are Babolat players allowed to have a separate string stencil? The Bryans would likely want to keep their Solinco stencil.

Babolat players may only stencil their racquets with our logo. I can't comment on other brands' requirements

Yea, I don't see a visible crack on the racket itself. hairline crack is just where the barcode sticker is at. What is this sticker anyway ? How is it put on the racket ? it is Not a stick on sticker barcode. It is Sealed onto the racket itself and feels like it is hard plastic but not part of the racket itself. Am I correct in saying this ???

I did some looking into and it is called Serial number sticker and all authentic babolat rackets have them. Picture below is an example, NOT my racket. But the hairline crack is along the barcode and it doesn't extend onto the racket itself. I am thinking Sticker is made of some kind of plastic and it is cracked ??

It is also a way to tell if your racket is fake or genuine babolat racket . Is there a chance that my racket is fake ??

Brought this up immediately when I strung my first 17/18 designed PD. Terrible design choice IMO.

Babolat have the worst bumper guards. I think it’s a design flaw that’s done on purpose so that the racquet gets damaged and worn out quicker forcing you to buy a new racquet quicker.

I will try. but I bought it at TW so it is highly unlikely it is fake..... and what are these stickers made of and can they form hairline crack like this over time as racket ages ? I think sticker is put on the racket Before the Gloss goes on the racket. so sticker is underneath the gloss, I believe.

Personally I think the bumper guards and grommets on the 2013 AeroPro Drive models were sensational. I still have seven of these racquets and also two 2010 AeroPro Junior models. Pure Aero have one of the worst grommets and bumper guards I have ever seen on a racquet. Strings don’t properly seat inside the grommet channel and hangout passed the frame and get damaged from court rash. The bumper guard doesn’t cover the edge and racquets get worn very quickly. The design of the 2018 Pure Drive bumper guard doesn’t protect the racquet from court rash at all. I don’t think it was designed to protect the racquet. It’s just there for decoration. As far as paint quality go Wilson hands down has the worst paint quality that I have ever seen on a tennis racquet. It’s shameful.
