BREAKING: US Open draw for Federer and Nadal

Fed draw is too tough, but I think cant complain as there is no Novak to worry about.......Fed should streamroll to semis with all those unstable mugs in his draw and in semis, he needs to handle nadal just like he handled him before this year and murray would be a no worry if he reaches final that is. If fed plays strategically, it is HIS USO to win.

Nadal draw till R3 is a complete joke

If Nadal gets past Dimitrov and Federer loses before the semis it's difficult to see who can stop him winning a 3rd title.

Actually, neither he or Federer have an easy draw. Didn't Fognini beat him here a couple of years ago?

Didn't just beat, it was quite humiliating actually for Rafa, Two sets and a break up. Fognini actually played a heck of a match from that point on

Murray isn't getting to the final lol. They're trying to make it happen but it wont

Querrey has been playing great tennis, let's not automatically hype up Fed-Kyrgios just yet. Kyrgios needs to, as he said, show up for the "smaller" matches. I'll worry about that match if it actually comes to pass, but I don't trust Kyrgios not to tank if he gets down

Lmao Fed fans have the audacity to say Nadal has an easy draw after he faced Berdych in the semis and an injured Cilic in the final of Wimbledon.

The only tough round for Fed could be the potential Querrry/Kyrgios 4th rd. And there's always a possibility that Kyrgios might not even get up for the match.

Now Murray really got away with the draw, but might not make it to the later stages considering he's not at his physical best

Seriously there's zero threats to Zed in his quarter of the draw. If Murray isn't healthy to challenge then he definitely has no threats in his half.

Top half is loaded though.

Kyrgios would get up for it, question is will he make it that far

Nadal's draw is slightly worse. I prefer Kyrgios over Dimitrov (Dimitrov defeated easily Kyrgios in Cincinnati). And Berdych over Thiem. But both draws are highly complicated.

Dimitrov R16, Raonic QF is hard as it gets. How its Fed fault that Nole and Rafa retire/lost ?!

I agree they're both tricky but the transitive property doesn't apply to sports. The fact of the matter is Nadal/Federer have to play a helluva lot better than they did in Montreal/Cincy (for Nadal) if they want to beat guys like Zverev/Kyrgios/Dimitrov etc.

Kyrgios or Dimitrov would both be tricky for Nadal, especially if his form is going to be this erratic. Which I don't expect it to be.

Really? The Raonic of 2017, where he's been withdrawing due to injury since early this year? Look at his results so far.

And if Dimitrov is that tough, why do I see all the Fed fans mocking Nadal's draw? He has Fognini, Berdych and Dimitrov in his quarter

I don't see Kyrgios even getting this far. And given Nadal's current form I actually see him losing even to Berdych. AO 2015 proved even that is possible.

Fed's quarter looks like the toughest on paper. Murray's quarter, the weakest.

The gods aren't gonna punish me by having Murray in the final, are they? Naaaahhhh . . . they're not that cruel.

You just butthurt that when Nadal lost at WB, you and your ilk was hoping any poor soul in the the draw would beat Federer. 19>15. Deal with it.

It's 2017, and Berdych is a tough 4th rd opponent. Wouldn't say the same about semifinals

Ok glad we agree on that, because I don't think he's easy either. Especially with how shaky Nadal has looked on HC this summer. Nadal gets visibly nervous these days. Could actually be a close match if Berdych plays with nothing to lose, which he has the luxury of.

2012 was five years ago.

But, like now, he wasn't "supposed" to beat Federer. And did. Convincingly too. For his first ever night match L. And that was a healthy, in form, pretty amazing summer Federer (Wimbledon Win, Olympic Silver, Cincy title over Djokovic)

He could give Nadal problems if it's the MTL/Cincy Nadal

Berdych actually was a tough opponent for Federer back in 2010-2012. But starting from 2013 his record against top players speaks for itself. I will feel very very bad if Nadal will lose to him, same as I felt in AO 2015.
