I've heard stories of how pro or near pro level players will destory tennis shoes in a matter of weeks. Their footwork is so intense that the shoes just can't last for long.
For me, shoes last at least 6 months. The tread will get all worn off on the side toward the big toe, but it doesn't effect performance. In fact, I prefer shoes that have been a little worn down. I just found the first tiny hole that goes into the midsole on my asic court ffs, and I've had them 8 months now.
Do you think better, more intense footwork will result in wearing shoes out more quickly? Or, are higher level players just preferring a brand new pair?
