How much do you agree with what Tim Henman said in 2011?

Roger Federer can still play better tennis than any man on the planet, according to Tim Henman in 2011. Tim Henman said the following at the end of 2011 during the ATP Finals-- the year many agree is Djokovic's peakiest year ever -- after Fed beat and bageled Nadal 6-3, 6-0 at the year-end event:

'I still think that in the right type of conditions, Federer's best tennis is better than anyone else's in the world. When you look at the performance of Federer this week against Rafael Nadal - admittedly, Nadal wasn't at his best and it was on an indoor court which favours Federer - the score was 6-3, 6-0 and I have honestly never seen anyone play better.'

Henman is still being objective here, saying indoor hard court isn't Nadal's best surface -- but even so, Fed's game is undoubtedly better when each of them are at their peak, which shouldn't be a shock to anyone.

Do you agree with his take on Fed or does it not sit right with some of you?

I say fed has the best game in his peak but does he beat nole and rafa in neutral surface i personally bet against that, technically he has the best game but those 2 have greater mentality which imo is a bigger factor and that's why I always pick them against fed in neutral match

It depends what you mean by neutral match.

Let's hear what Henman says in 2022... he and Wilander are talking only about Djoko and Rafa in the GOAT race and consider Rafa has the upper hand. [Fed is not even being discussed]
'NO DISRESPECT TO DJOKOVIC...' – RAFAEL NADAL RIGHT BACK IN GOAT RACE, CLAIM TIM HENMAN AND MATS WILANDER

I knew someone would probably post this eventually. Tim Henman is unfortunately a believer (or perhaps more of a crowd-appeaser) in that he associates grand slam final tally with GOAThood. I’m 99% convinced he’s saying this for simplicity sake though rather than what he truly feels.

If you watch everyone at their peak (including non tennis fans) I think the general consensus would be Federer is the best player ever.

“Best” and “greatest” aren’t necessarily interchangeable. Example, Brady is the GOAT but I don’t think anyone would say he’s the most gifted/talented thrower of a football.

He can. But then again, so could Nadal and Djokovic. Djokovic was doing it most often by some way in 2011, except late in the year when it was Federer.
