Going to be very frank, worthless data

As always 8-B

Djokovic has highest of highs.

Rafa is not even in the streak stat. Expected.

And it never seems to matter :p

I wonder why Nadal never had a win streak close to this? He's only ever been consistent at RG. His results at the other slams have been all over the place. Hasn't won Wimbledon or AO for over a decade.

2010 RG to 2012 RG Nadal could've won 8 Slams out of 9 but peak Novak happened.

IMO the current field is better than the 2015 field but the top players in 2015 were better than the current top players.

2015 Djokovic > 2021 Djokovic (outside Slams)
2015 Federer > 2021 Medvedev
2015 Murray > 2021 Zverev
2015 Wawrinka > 2021 Tsitsipas

Medvedev on USO is a beast. He completely destroyed Novak.I would give him an egde over 2015 Federer on USO

You can't call that the best version of Novak. He was tired at the end of the season and after the Zverev match, as well as under huge pressure and the crowd made him a crying mess. If Medvedev can beat a fresh Djokovic in Australia, then I will say he has the edge. But otherwise no.

Nadal 24 in a row deserves a mention also, though a step behind Federer and Djokovic because he didn't get to the fourth straight final. Interestingly, it is just as long as Sampras longest winning streak in slams too.

25 consecutive wins from 1R of French Open 2010 to the QF of Australian Open 2011.

I'd say 25 is pretty close to 26  @Madinolf a.k.a. Lew III knew exactly what he was doing by cutting off the list at (very) arbitrary points of 6 and 3..

The same question can be asked of why does winning a slam for consecutive years matter also.

They all made it to 20 slams, and they all took their own path to get there.
It doesn't, the most slam can you win, no matter in how many time, matters nothing else in slam department ( of course apart from winning four in a row)
