"You just have to keep trying to learn, watch his matches, try and see if there's any weaknesses there that you can capitalise on."

Djokovic is the only current player who has no defensive game. Maybe capitalise on that?

....then again, not really a weakness, seeing as Djokovic's 'defensive' game destroys any offense:confused: hehehe

Murray's quotes -

"You just have to keep trying to learn, watch his matches, try and see if there's any weaknesses there that you can capitalise on.

"Maybe he has a drop-off, it's very difficult to maintain that level for such a long period.

"That's all you can do."

Hardly that defeatist?

Thr most encouraging aspect is that Murray will be in the other half of the draw from Djoko...

Still, he'll ultimately have to through him.

If Murray is trying to play mind games, he should stop. Djokovic is not taking the bait.
If he is being serious, then that is not encouraging for him either. As the 2nd best player in the world, he should be the biggest threat to Novak in 2016.
A rematch of the last AO final is very likely, but with the attitudes from these two players and the way their rivalry has been going in the last two years, we could be in for the same final outcome.

Murray would probably like Nadal and Federer to be on Djokovic's side of the draw, and then try to take his chances with Stan, should they meet, not that meeting Stan would be a walk in the park either. At the moment though, Roger and Novak have been dead ends for him.

It's worth stating for the record that Murray and Djokovic are 6-7 in finals...

3-2 slams, 4-4 in Masters series.

You should go back to your cave, it's getting dark.

No real man wants to be led by a woman, period. And if you disagree then go back to being told by your mummy what to do. I was shocked when Murray hired Mauresmo, still am.

Believe it or not this also applies to women, I bet that if you asked women who would they would like to be coached by if they only knew the sex of their coach I bet that at least 80% would go with "male".

Holy f christ, what a losers mentality. How anyone can root for a player with that attitude is beyond me.

Those stats do get overlooked at times I agree.
However the recent issues Murray is having when playing Djokovic and what seems eternal issues at AO will be extremely tough to overcome. With this mentality he is not helping himself either.

You should consider seeing a therapist.

Just looking at your avatar you are so biased that you probably agree with every decision that Murray made in his career. Because Murray is doing sooo much better with Mauresmo than he did when he worked with Lendl.

I know what you mean but it's hard to say what Murray meant without a transcript (journalists tend to provoke these quotes with loaded questions).

I don't agree with the conclusion the author came to based on this interview (eurosport journalists, what a surprise…), but I certainly would have hoped for a more positive outlook from Murray.

I am not an expert of anything but for me this is bad attidue just like Rafas. Not even the players in WTA Sharapova included gave Serena this kind aura by talking like this.

I was not just referring to this article (journalists are idiots at times definitely), I was referring also to some of his recent matches with Novak. Though I believe we can both agree that Djokovic is the better player, Murray could have challenged him better in some matches, like IW and Bercy last year for example. At times, Andy made it even easier for Novak. This rivalry was very competitive once, and the current stats in finals as you stated are not one-sided at all.

If there's a Djokovic-Murray final again I'm willing to bet some cash on Djokovic winning in straight sets.

it's hard to root for, because he's basically saying that the level and quality of Novak's play, and therefore the match has to drop for him to win. Rather then believing he can raise his level. Even as a Novak fan, I'd like to see some good competition for the state of tennis. Murray's biggest problem has always been his attitude and approach imo.

This woman helped this man get that physique, one of top ten physiques in the world.

Excatly when some of the best players of the world talk like this there is no excitement left. Good news for Novak bad news for the sport. They cant even spice up the things to make it exciting. Their talk is like losing the match in the locker room before even it starts.

Bodybuilding is not really a sport. It's more of an abomination

Your view on whether it is not a sport is not relevant. The statement is that no real man would want to be lead by a woman. That statement is being said to applied to all walks of life. This woman had led that man to the top ten of the world in bodybuilding. In his world, being led by a woman took him to the point, where he competed at the Olympia.
