A true samurai respects their sword.
They would never snap it or damage it out of frustration. Right?
Maybe they will if they are provided with 3 swords everyday and Hattori Hanzo makes it for free.

PwndMy, my, will knees ever stop jerking on TTW? Seriously, is there some kind of pathological illness out there that makes people leap to these kinds of conclusions? We've seen this kind of thing before, have we not? At this stage, in this day and age, it almost means nothing!
Oops. Another thread tolive in infamy.oh no, she has her own thread now, we know how well those cheering threads usually end up on TW, she will have a turbulent career ahead!
Watching her against Halep. Only 18 years old, ranked 92 in the world and has a really big game. Great young player. I recommend you guys turning on eurosport, very exciting third set right now.
She made her first GS appearence in the main draw in AO this year where she made the 3rd round. Right now she is fighting for a spot in the 4th round of FO.
Did she let the Japanese physio go? Seems odd not to see her there.
I think so, other girl on her box this AO named Kristy Stahr.
Top player nowadays travel with 3 people, Coach, High Performance Coach and Physio.
Why is Petra doesn't have High Performance Coach? Pliskova has one.
Petra is still highly affected from the attack, she has trust issues you have to believe.
Really wanna know what happened to her Japanese physio, maybe she had other things to do like family stuff cause I don't really like this new lady. Wish the Japanese one came back.
It's hard for a physio because they have to travel as much as the player without the pay as much as the coach.
Who did the Kristy girl work with before?
Serena and Venus in 2016.
Osaka steals almost all that Serena had lol.
Anyone think she can get a second slam this year?
Career best 3R at both Chunnel slams but I wouldn’t be surprised if she gets much further now with the high seeding AND more confidence.USO should be a great chance. Not too sure yet about clay, might pull off a surprise at Wimby though her past record isn't particularly encouraging.
I feel like Naomi's entourage doesn't suit her, you know what I mean? She seems like someone who would be like Petra and have only a few in her box.
Ah no, she's overpowering and outdefending opponents. She returned Kvitova's serve (almost same speed as Djokovic) from on or inside the baseline while Nadal... should I say Philippe Chatrier Court? Hingis was a genius tactician with low power. Osaka is showing mental maturity beyond her years but it's mainly what she can do technically and physically that the others can't. Let's see how much of her potential she actualises, but she's more like the next Graf/Serena.She's like the new Hingis

I would change the title to future double digit slam winner. I dont usually like making such grand declarations, but I will be genuinely surprised if she doesnt win atleast 10 slams in her career. She already has 2 and she is just getting started.
Anyone think she can get a second slam this year?
If she does, my bet is the USO. I'll be keenly looking to see how, now that she's "in her prime", her game works out on clay and grass. The proof we have right now though = HC Queen. Now that she's #1, how will she react? Is it even more pressure to deal with and does it shackle her, or does it release her and allow her to soar forward?
What do you reckon, NuBas?
Serena and Venus in 2016. Work for USTA before and witness to Bouchard fall on US Open.

You know, I think Osaka and Serena are destined to play each other again in a slam final at least once more.
Michio Ushioda, a veteran journalist at Japan’s Mainichi newspaper, said in a tweet (link in Japanese) that as the date of Osaka’s choice looms, he believes that it’s likely that she’ll choose to give up her Japanese citizenship for her American one. The disappointment in Japan will be so great, he added, that it could even lead to the downfall of the Japanese government.
Outrageously low-probability call, @RF-18... but right on target! Nice one.
Anyone think she can get a second slam this year?
She jokes at this AO that before her win at USO18, she's stuck at 3R in slams (has made 3R in all 4 slams until USO18 I think). She broke that pattern and won USO18 and AO19 back-to-back. Sure, she will need to learn to move on clay and grass. Sharapova managed it, the self-proclaimed cow-on-ice in regards to clay, and I think Osaka will too. The tour nowadays have such homogenized surfaces that I'd be surprised if she doesn't make at least the QFs of RG/WB by end of next year. Some have even called her the female Djokovic. Look at Djokovic's slam career .
I think Osaka has a very good chance to win another slam this year (USO>>RG>WB). @NuBas , remember you not being confident of her chances winning AO19? I was a bit more confident than you, but also with a bit of hope bc she was somewhat injured at the end of 2018 and didn't win a match at the YEC. She didn't even play her best until SF/F at the AO19 and still won. She could still play better. So if she peaks, she's very hard to beat, just like Djokovic .
Yeah totally surprised, I only thought she'd make quarterfinals. Funny how she was almost out of tournament being down second set 4-1 or 5-1 to Hsieh just like how Li Na was almost out in early rounds on her AO win.

Might pull out of Dubai too. She's pretty much safe holding on to No. 1 until IW.
