She's only 18 so I'd expect nerves and lack of fitness to be her weakest points.
She'll be close to top 50 end of the year..should be top 20 come Tokyo.

You don't need to take the family name of your father in most countries. It could be her mother's or it could be an adopted one to express her heritage as half-Japanese because she grew up in the US.

Might be, but she went 6-3 in majors as an 18 year old. That's pretty rare these days. I think most teenagers are mentally weak, on and off court. Give her a couple years at least.

Been keeping an eye on Osaka this past few months. My fave of the young women breaking through.

Already made 3R in 3 slams this year. She's definitely one to watch, lots of potential, good serve and great ballstriking. Obviously work to do on the mental side but she's young and that can only come from more match play on the big stage. I don't think she'll be forgetting that loss to Keys any time soon.

I still expect Naomi to win her first WTA next year, however it is good the off season is coming up, a time for Dave and her to go over the good results of 2016 and go over her game with a magnifying glass and find areas that need improvement.

All true but you forgot cannot serve, cannot slice and cannot create angles, basically cannot play tennis properly.

after that Kuzzie match in TJ, her serve is a big weakness. Despite her potential service power, she has not perfected her technique yet, hence the instability and all the double faults.
