I’ll re ask the question.
Sizing: I’m normally a 13 in asics speeds and diadora blue shield.

These seem a little big. 13 2Es. Is it due to being I got a 2E width?

Haven't tried Diadoras in a while. But I am generally 13 in Asics, Adidas, and Nike. New Balance Fresh Foam CT Rally 13 was similar for me length wise. Suspect your issue is with the 2E width.

Update: these are quite good.
Have to say I notice on the right foot there’s a little discomfort around the ankle not terrible but mild. No issue on the left foot - wondering if it’s just improperly laced

Yeah debating if I should get clay court shoes only but I don play on it much
wouldn't it make more sense to get something with a firmer midsole since the surface is already softer? Can't really appreciate the fresh foam unless the surface is hard.

not criticizing btw, just trying to provide maybe another perspective

Did you find the uppers opened up more after a break-in period? They're just a taaaad tight for my liking. I hear the foam takes a break-in period to get soft. Footbed seems rock hard out of the box. But I'm committed to my sale pair... no turning back now.

Yes. And I also noticed the right foot was not laced properly. Relaxed it and it is amazing

Idk I’m not as analytical to gear to be honest. Comfort and maneuverability

I slipped using non-clay specific shoes, didn't go down but slightly tweaked my back. I now run one pair of hard court shoes (I play much less on hard surfaces) and keep two pair of clay specific shoes for summer use. If you go down or hurt something trying not to go down, the $125 more or less for clay specific shoes with good tractionis well worth it. Just saying.

...AAAAAAND I'm done. Selling these. The collar really digs into my ankle bone. The cushioning is good enough, the tongue is super plush. Lacing system has just the right amount of friction to keep laces in place. The knit upper gives enough but has plenty of support. The outsole is quite sticky, it was a little hard to slide to a stop.

This broke in for me. Took a bit on the right shoe for some reason over the left.

I feel like my ankle will break before the collar breaks in. I've had the 996 v3 that exhibited the same ankle-biting issue of the collar. I don't want to go through the pain.

They look so bad with that lightning bolt on the side. NB really scraping the bottom of the barrel with its designers. Almost every shoe they make looks horrible.

Do they not make this for clay? Loving it for hard court but needed one for clay as it’s mostly what I play on.

The new color way is an improvement. These are definitely long, and feel a bit flipper like. Not as comfortable as the Lav 2 which were a very good shoe. I’m still breaking mine in.

I disagree. The lightning bolt on the side is so cheesy.

NB employing some budget designers from Payless or Costco.

I agree. Better than the white ones but still pretty terrible looking! They are overly engineered and have two different logos on them. N on the outside and small NB on the inside. I got New Balance years ago because Nike were so bad. Seems New Balance is heading in a similar direction.

Yeah NB is really all over the map. They have no idea what theyre doing, style wise. Shame since they make decent quality shoes I believe.

I’m struggling to find a one stop tennis brand. Lacoste clothing is decent quality (medvedev stuff is ugly). Might have to try ASICS shoes or The Mizuno ones which gets good reviews.

Asics makes good shoes. I'm sponsored by adidas but still buy asics GR9 and FF3. I love the adidas ubersonics but they don't last long for me.

What wrong the Lotto?

They always have good stuff and the Mirage 100 and Raptor Hyperpulse are both very good shoes.

I also usually like their shorts and shirts.

Just to note, I like their Top Ten shorts way better than the Squadra shorts. They're worth the extra 5 or 10 bucks.

With TW you dont need to have a "one stop" brand. Get your favorite stuff or the best stuff from each brand!

Id argue unless you're sponsored individually or through school it is really bad to limit yourself to one brand.

Raptor Hyperpulse are nice. I was waiting for the CT Rally to come to the UK but settled on the Raptors and don't regret it.

A couple of my Lotto outfits.

I also like K Swiss but Lotto is my go to brand.

I applied for a sponsorship but never heard back from them.

I guess you have to be good at tennis to get the sponsorship.

I wish NB would release the kit that Tommy Paul was wearing last night in Dallas, very simple and not flashy.

Anyone else had durability issues with their ct rallys?

While I like these shoes the outsole on my right shoe wore through in less than half the play time of a 996.

My big issue is they make a squeaking sound. Ok on the tennis court but I can’t wear them inside my house or in while shopping.

Does that not have the stitching around the "N"? If not, liking it more already! They could make some fun colors with it. I own a pair and enjoy the cushioning, support and quality but would like more color patterns.

Maybe it’s just in the same color as the grey which is better than when it stands out. I find the shoes a bit too long, and not as comfortable as the previous iteration.
