Nike Zoom GP Turbo official thread.

I got a pair. I normally wear 11.5 and I didn’t size up. Medium width foot. I love the fit, I feel very protected, really good stability. I’m struggling to remember a shoe that I loved right outta the box as much as this one. I literally received my pair, put them on Immediately, taught a lesson and played a set after that. Very comfortable. The start/stop response and first step explosiveness on this shoe is outstanding. There have been several times where I was caught going in the wrong direction and was able to stop, change direction and have a decent to excellent play on the ball (in other shoes the point is over or it is a very timid reply). The breathability is good (I haven’t complained about the shoe running hot). I will get the GP Turbo in every color way that I like.

Thanks for the info. On the fit, since you went tts, is your toe at the end of the shoe, or do you have the "thumbnail's width of room? I just gotta figure out the size I need. Thinking since they are snug and narrow to go up .5 to compensate for my messed up big toe knuckle. Thanks for the info. Just wait till you see the "Agassi-inspired" color coming out this weekend! Awesome looking!

Ordered my pair. Will update here when I get them. Hoping they fit my feet better than ZZ did. Loved the cushion on ZZ but my feet were tight and felt pressure nonstop on the sides of the toe (probably coming off SCB had something to do with that too).

There is a thread already with some good info btw:

I appreciate the shoutout to my thread lol. I’ll be watching @J011yroger...

I'm thinking that they would be a good shoe for teaching then if I have to play hard I would pop on a pair of vapors or whatever, but after 8 hours on court my dogs are barking.

They seem to be a beefy shoe, compared to the ZZ. The weight scares me, it’s exactly as much as the stycon.

My toe is not at the end of the shoe. I’ve seen the Agassi inspired color. I like it but I am undecided on that one. But definitely one of the best 3 shoes I’ve ever worn.

Nike's always have run a bit large for me. My normal shoe size is around an 8.5 while in Nike's it's almost always a 9. This pair of shoes I read you should go up half a size so I ordered a 9.5. They fit perfectly! The shoe is incredibly comfortable from a short jog back and forth in the living room. I'm looking forward to getting these out on the courts on Sunday.

Just got mine, went up half a size and they are still snug, squeezes my little toe a bit. Very high and heavy shoe, heavier than Barricades, super squishy though, like walking on a memory foam mattress.

If you are a big guy with knee issues and can sort out the sizing this might be a solution.

I bought the multicolored one just because it was so slick and unique.
But it’s not a comfortable shoe at all. Very narrow and stiff in the toe box. Wouldn’t play in them. Wearing them as off the court showstoppers, in moderation fohshizzle.

My experience with these was not good. Put some pressure on one of my knees so back to cages for me. Would be a great shoe for those who can get a good fit.

I went with the same size as my cage 4, but I‘d better to size up half a size. I made it work, but definitely very narrow in the toe box.
Had my first time on court yesterday and was suprised. On of the nicest shoes ever, plush, fast, easy to slide but enough grip when needed...

Has anyone tried these and the Zoom Zero's? I've had trouble finding shoes with sufficient forefoot cushioning and I finally found the ZZ's, which work great...and Nike disco'd them. I heard that the Turbo's are meant to replace them?

I have read most people have ordered half size up, but will the length be too long for your feet?
I have troubles with Asics Court FF, my regular size is too tight but half size up is too long.

Many thanks and have a good weekend!

I had 8 pairs of ZZ and have 2 pairs of Turbos now. I think I said this in a different thread but IMO, the Turbo is a step up in cushioning and sole durability but a step back practically everywhere else for me. I prefer the overall fit and the sock liner snugness of the ZZ and while it is not well ventilated I think the Turbo manages to be even worse. The Turbo performs fine on court and most of my dislikes about it fade into the background once play starts. I just wish they had put the Turbo cushioning in a ZZ 2.0 and just improved the ventilation and added a heel pull tab to help get the shoe on.

Well the cushioning is my biggest concern, so I guess I'll give the Turbo a chance when the time comes, but I don't love the sound of everything else. I agree that they could have just updated the ZZ, I don't understand why Nike is so quick to abandon certain shoes but then sticks with others for decades.

interested in trying the turbo. ive worn the ZZ for some time, and just got some cage 4s on clearance sale. the cage 4s have been my favorite thus far, the bootie makes em fit like a glove. feel like tennis shoes might finally be heading in the right direction?

Using shoe stretcher. Has helped with the widening, but where it still irritates my foot is down where the yellow plastic section is in the toe box.
I’m gonna work on a solution for that.
Every problem has a solution.
You just gotta be persistent and creative

Shoestretchers helped me too, it‘s now the perfect fit. Little snug the first 10 minutes but once they‘re broken in, I love them... Best shoe so far...

I wear a 13 size and there is not a half size up option for me.So getting my size and using a shoe stretcher is gonna fix the shoe or am I going to throw away my money?

I got my first pair of turbos last week and have worn them around the house. They are extremely comfortable but feel like I have a lot of heel slippage. Anyone else experiencing this? Any workaround?

For reference - I ordered them in my normal size (same as Vapor X) and used heel lock lacing.

I've been playing in mine since early August. These are my favorite shoes I've ever played in. The cushioning and fit for me are perfect. I have relatively narrow feet though, so if you have really wide feet these may not be the shoe for you based on the comments above.

I broke down and bought a pair. I was leaning towards the Vapor Cage, but tried the Agassi inspired ones on at the shop and the cushioning got me. I don’t feel that they’re too heavy or bulky at all. They have the heel lock lace hole so it’s a snug fit. I went up half a size for the toe-box size.
These are my new favorite shoe.

Very comfy tennis shoes. To me, the toe box isn't narrow or small. Those areas are fine.... It's that there isn't a lot of room vertically for your toes. Not sure if that makes sense. The distance between the insole and the top of the shoe is short. I find that I don't have much room to wiggle my big toe. I've gotten used to it and it's not painful or uncomfortable. It's just not spacious.

I imagine with orthotics this space would be even smaller so unfortunately these shoes are a no-no for me...

For my foot, they fit short if i get my regular size. Going a half size up made them fit perfectly with no surplus length.

NOTE: Not sure what the sitiation is like for other parts of the world, but the Nike donestic site here is having a pretty big sale and there are huge reductions on these shoes atm.

What country? Not seeing any reduction on my USA site.
