Pretty sad that Nike is making one of their male athletes that they sponsor buy women’s shoes instead of just continuing to make them for men. They would rather everyone get plantar fasciitis from the Cage 4 Rafa’s.

Any shoes similar to the gp?
I tried all the nike / adidas / nb / kswiss / asics where I work (tennis store ) , and I like ... nothing !
gp is still the best
I went from the GP to the Wilson Rush Pro and really like them.
I went shopping saying I was going to just buy the ones I found most comfortable. If anything I was predisposed to not buy Wilson (as my only previous experience was some indoor carpet shoes of theirs that I didn’t really like). However they were much better that the other 5-6 pairs that I tried on.

Stock X is legitimate, but the pricing certainly is not.

Never support the new shoe resellers if you can avoid it.

So i did buy a pair from Stock X and i have been wearing for for a week now,,, and this is very Weird...... it looks like same GP turbo and box saids it is but the Cushioining just isn't as plush and soft. and it feels much Harder than previoius ones i owned..... What is going on here ?? Is this Knock off ?? I can't retun this cause i have worn it. or is this just Bad batch from Nike ??

what colorway did you get and what is the manufacture date on them? Some of the GPs are 3 years old now and if they were not stored properly materials can start drying out and hardening

I doubt that knock offs were ever made for these shoes. Honestly, I wish someone would make some, since Nike refuses to manufacture them in mens’ sizes now :D. I have noticed that certain colors of the shoes run stiffer for me, particularly the white ones with the yellow accents.

it saids 1/2021. is that bad ?

not necessarily. I have a pair older than that that still feels good underfoot, but I know they have been stored properly.

A shoe that is 2 years old and not stored in a climate controlled environment can possibly have some hardening of the rubber/poly pieces of the sole. All Stock X really guarantees these days are that the shoes are unworn

I switched away from the Turbos Ive been using for the past 2 years to the Nike vapors for about a few sessions. Last night during a clinic I tore my calf muscle on a first step to a short ball. I am convinced the change in shoes was a huge factor. Those looking to move away from Turbos, just be cautions, our movements might be dependent on the properties of these shoes more than you might think.

I am on the balls of my feet for the most part. This combined with the raw response from the vapors I think stressed my muscles out more than my body could acclimate for explosive moves. I was contemplating buying inserts for the vapors but I used them stock anyways. So much regret.

lots of sympathy for your situation, hope you have a quick and seamless recovery. Going back to your thoughts on changing shoes, I have to say you’re in a unique spot. Most shoe to shoe changes are pretty seamless in the tennis shoe world. That being said, the GP is a heavy heavy shoe. I’ve always rotated between the Nike durable and speed lines based on feel/taste. My current rotation is 6 pairs of GP turbos and a couple scattered vapors (9, 9.5, X, vapor pro). I can for sure feel a vast difference between the GP and any vapor line shoe. Moreso than when I used to switch back n forth from cages/ballistics (BCI/BCII/CB1.3/CB2.3/CB4.3/lunar ballistic/air max cage) - all of those durable Nike shoes feel remarkably lighter than the GP. I’d say the GP is the heaviest but also most comfortable tennis shoe I’ve used. It’s odd because you’d think that the GP would strengthen joints muscles and ligaments if you used it for an extended period, but tbh I feel the opposite. It’s almost like when I hop in them after a few days in vapors, it’s a jarred sensation for my ankles for a few mins. I think the GP is one of the most complete tennis shoes I’ve ever used, but it’s weight remains a drawback that has me considering a massive stock up on the vapor 9.5

cheers and get well soon
