Is this a tenable argument on Roddick's part? He was the only one who complained about it.
Q. Talk about just coming from Washington, couple of days, how difficult is it to start first round again, although it's a Masters Series, a big week?
ANDY RODDICK: It's tough. I actually did the same thing in '05 and wasn't able to get past the first round. It's different. They use a different ball for whatever reason. It's a little tough to get used to conditions, especially on a day like today where the wind is a little gusty and stuff. You don't really feel like you played your cleanest tennis.
You know, I was able to get through.
