This is good. If Nadal loses a little serve rhythm during the delay and Federer cam somehow break, the courts will take a lot of bite off Nadal's backhand.

This could become just like the wimbledon 2008 final, I fully feel like Fed could take this to 5 still...rain delays, drama, I see some similarities.

The rain would only be good if it were only drizzling and cold, to the balls wouldn't bounce as high, and Fed would have a better footing and grip on the surface allowing him to set up the shots in balance.

Watch Federer break after the suspension. Nadal is trying very hard to choke away this set (failing break points early that would have given him an otherwise insurmountable advantage) and now finds himself having failed a set point and having to serve it out at deuce.

I am as well, even if Fed faces Nadal. He'll be able to get more free points with his serve which might make him feel more relaxed.

I called it at the Madrid match between Fed and Lopez. If Fed serves as well as he's serving now (which is the best I have seen him in 1.5 years), he'll win Wimbledon.

Not good because the final will drag even longer, you can't tell me you're seriously worried about Nadal winning at this point.

Not good because Nadal has to be right on his game straight away when they restart play, otherwise the second set is up in the air.

Nice sense of humor and please don't talk about Nadal choking after Fed couldn't win that 1st set after being 5-2 up and having a SP.

Mr Doosh is going to mad. how dare the gods make it rain when he was serving for a two set lead?

Fed is playing well but its clear he is not going to be able to hit through Nadal on the clay. He really needs to be more patient rather than go for winners so early in points.

Why did Roger go into the Trainers Room? Think I saw him lying down (not even sure if he practised yesterday).

Confidence from the past. In my opinion, Fed hits with too much topspin, especially on his approach shots and hence, Nadal's sick passing shots.

Yes, that is it.

That is why Djokovic is and would be more successful against Nadal on clay.

Me thinks Federer should give more the initiative to Nadal. He has the tendency to increase UEs if he has to construct points by himself

Someone get Gil Reyes and Brad Gilbert in there.

same. i don think paul is the right person for inspiration. he's to calm (or so it appears). federer needs someone like gil and brad, or better yet lundgren so that they could tell him what they think of his sh1t play after he blew the 5-2 lead.

then again, maybe its best to keep fed calm so he can serve better? im not sure, its going to be up to paul and severin to decide.

hopefully Rafa doesnt need another half a set to warm up and find his rhythm like in the first set.

Sup guys.

Enjoying the 5 set thriller with mystery and drama?

I really can't tell who's gonna win this one.

It's so close and full of good point construction and creativity.

It's bursting with pressure and suspense.

What a short break. Hope the rain stays away for the remainder of the match.

As for match momentum, Rafa is too mentally strong for this short break to affect him.

Looking back at the results of last couple of years we rarely get close finals.Last tight final was Gaudio-Coria.Since Nadal stepped in,most of the finals were a lot easier. Also Federer-Soderling wasn`t a close final either.
