Ever since Nole got broken, he's just gifted points likes there's no tomorrow.

Somethings not right about this. :-?

LOLing at the ********s and their excuses.

An hour ago it was 'Nole 2.0 - check out his greatness'. Now, because he's on the cusp of losing 'nole is tanking'.

Still, at least they're not saying he's only losing because of the wind.

Wait...what the......I come back from school and see Querrey serving for the match?! Now that was unexpected.

If only Federer didn't withdraw from Paris... but I guess if Djoker's #1 wasn't secured he would have gone full out...didn't see the match bar the last few points but I guess Nole tanked at the end for WTF.

Delpo continues with his run! :D

this was too weird imo. it's not that Querry played well or something.
so it's either an injury or a fake. any other options?

The only thing I can think of, is that this tournament isn't very well advertised (at least in the UK) whereas the world tour finals is shown fully on the BBC and in that respect, it's publicised much more highly.

Possibly djokovic wasn't fussed about winning this at all, he perhaps wants more publicity.

Good match from Querrey, served great (getting so many cheap points on serve against Novak is far from easy) and fought till the end.

Novak really seemed up and down mentally, couldn't focus and play patient tennis (work the point, move the big guy around) but rushed very often (and made some terrible UFEs in the process) which sort of played into Querrey's hands.

This will most likely boost Novak's chances for WTF so not that big of a deal but still would have liked to see him go deeper.

Every time somebody's favorite player loses on this forum, all we hear is "It was a tank job! He was injured! The match was fixed! He didn't actually care about winning!"

Just learn to take the fact that your favorite player lost with a little grace. Nobody likes a sore loser.

I didn't see it Roz so I can't really comment (although I see F1Bob has already taken my bait ;) ).

My money is on a combination of illness and a lack of motivation - albeit subconsciously - I have trouble believing that a champ like Nole would deliberately take to the court to lose.

He was paid to lose.

He's #1, Federer isn't there, he doesn't need the money, and a rest before Barclay's would be nice. Bye bye Djokovic.

That was sure a blatant tank. For strategical reasons of couse, Pffft Djokovic.

Spot on. I hope PHM pulls a similar shock over Murray tonight.

There's news his father's ill, though there are conflicting reports as to the severity of the illness. I think the most up-to-date news is that he's fine and it's not as dire as previous press releases had indicated.

In my opinion, it wasn't a tank. He just wasn't motivated enough, secure in knowing that he's the #1 player for the year. I hope he makes a better showing in London, though.

What the hell? Didn't see the first set, how did he win 6-0 and go on to lose?
