Very Ruud! Draw opening up nicely, but he did take out the no 1 seed.

Well, a second main tour semi-final is secured, and so is an ascertained place in the top 100 in next week's ranking.

In the end it was an absolutely dominant performance, with Dellien simply not handling the pressure of the Ruud forehand.

In the semi-final awaits Christian Garin, who ousted Leo Mayer in three sets. Not a gimme, but Ruud should definitely see it as as good a chance as any of making a first main tour final.

Terrible start for the young Norwegian, after being so convincing on serve all week, he breaks himself in the second service game.

Now he opens the second set with a loose service game from 40-15 up as well sadly. Will be imperative that he now seizes the few chances he will get to get back in this.

After an unspectacular three-set match Félix Auger Aliassime emerged the victor in Miami by the score of 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.
