I'm thinking about his playstyle. OK, so by name at least, it is the same as Liverpool. But is that where the comparison ends? After all, Greenwood and Rashford are the laziest ''wingers'' the world has ever seen. Are they suddenly going to be all action pressing the defenders?

Yeah, just a whole lot of we shall see about it. I'll still take it over knowing what I will see. Absolute rubbish. :p

Has Martial even played since he scored? Lmao

He could be better in the league I agree but they also don’t get out of UCL groups without him. So I’ll at least give him that - but the lack of the production in the league is unacceptable it’s not like every team in the Prem is good like 80 percent are crap.
Yeah he's been great in CL. Can't have even the tiniest complaint there.

I do believe a proper tactician with authority can make something good happen with this bunch, and with a couple changes in the line up or so. But I'm done getting hyped.

Can’t blame you. My hype is on empty myself. At this point I just want one UCL upset out of this season at United’s hands.

Obviously not for you guys, but this has been a thoroughly enjoyable match. Enough defensive muggery + genuine attacking talent to make every bout of possession carry a genuine threat.

Fun. When was the last time an Ole match was fun?

Plenty of times. Seems like the last two months labeled all three years the same way lol...

Yeah, for sure. Can see a goal threat every time but United are showing signs of life tonight. Looking a bit more creative.

I can't answer your question. I'd have to go into stats checker mode. ,Maybe had some fun against Newcastle because I allowed the Ronaldo delusions to fool me on that day. But it was soon back to toothache city at the wheel shortly after that.

It appears Xhaka has been teaching that banter era move to Odegaard in training, lmao.

FOYG. I do love that I can always laugh at Arsenal whenever times are tough.

United got the win but I think this game opened some eyes a bit. Ole was a big problem me thinks but those players are also a huge problem, namely: Fred, McT, and Maguire. People will destroy Fred but nobody will talk about Maguire being at fault for the second goal or dragging Tomiyasu down in the box which wasn’t called for a pen (if it was Bailly doing that, I think a pens called). There’s other problems too, Lindelof, Rashford (current form), Sancho (90m for 2 G/A in 16 games?) etc.. but I think benching Luke Shaw, a massively overrated player is a step in the right direction. AWB is also a dreadful footballer but United looked more solid today against a top 6 opponent with Dalot.

As for Arsenal, they’ve spent the last 2 months beating the relegation fodder and sub par teams, but it’s now 14 goals conceded in 4 against Chelsea, City, Liverpool, and United. 2 goals scored in those games, completely shutout 3 times. Arteta’s Arsenal quickly turning into a free hit for the big boys. Will be interesting to see the response, they were particularly poor after the 20 minute mark.

Shaw is garbage anyways. Sancho’s good but he was turning into the next VDB with Ole as the coach.
Yeah, that is what I was fearing with Sancho. He's best out on the right, or so I hear. I don't think it is harsh to think of the squad as a bad lot. Not expecting miracles with new manager but still hoping a kick on the arse can improve some of them.

Chelsea looks to be spoiled for choice at RB now. Got the quality ol head who can still go, maybe can't do everything now, while hot young stud James seems to be impressing every week.

I know it will be impossible for this lot to become world beaters now. I wasn't an Ole fan after the run he went on to get the job, but I know it wasn't all down to him. The players do take a lot of the responsibility. Now there is no choice but to be on the ''clean slate club massive yo.''

Maybe get some quality ''bargains'' that can already play, but also have potential to get better, in January.

That 2nd Chelsea goal was just terrible play then defending from West Ham. Keeper probably feels he should have done better too.

An interesting scenario happened in today's game between Hibs and Motherwell.

Hibs had an attacking set piece and plenty of men forwards for it. It was cleared once and then the ball was put back into the box and cleared again. It was on its way towards several Hibs players on the halfway line but was stopped in its tracks by the referee in an unfortunate position.

Resultingly, play was stopped and Motherwell were awarded a drop-ball, which I assume is correct based on the letter of the law. This allowed them to reset play, going from having everybody back in their own half and under pressure to almost a normal goal kick situation.

Would it be a good strategy for a defensive team to consistently aim for the referee in their clearances in order to relieve pressure and give themselves a chance to regain their shape and restart play on their own terms?

First Ronaldo instantly improves his league stats right after I called him out on it during the game against Arsenal.

Now Fred has an excellent game all of a sudden.

Hmmm... I should be insulting our players' family trees more often.

I can't comment on the performance because the match wasn't on.

Do have the Goldbridge video on now. ''The most important thing is, by half-time, I couldn't give any of the players below a 6.'' This is a great compliment if you're familiar with his mythical player ratings.

''Greenwood passed the ball.'' o_O

I watched the highlights. Everybody seems to be really hyped.

Fred playing like his real name is Marco Antonio. Yes, everybody is on the clean slate bandwagon. We even had one of those ''the last time the stats measured up like this was when Alex Ferguson was in charge.'' So yeah, a nice start.

It feels like one of those videogame levels only for a much longer amount of time. Trapped in a directionless pit and it's still dark even if you try to cheese by turning the brightness up.

Oh my, Paulo. What's that?

I believe that is what they call light. We have found it.

Harry Kane with 1 goal and 1 assist in 13 Prem matches this year. At this point, pretty difficult to defend his club vs. country form. Perhaps he is angling for a sale or he is possibly just gassed from having no preseason. All I know is, Rooney would never have numbers like this.

Controversy in the Bayern Munich and Dortmund match.

Jude Bellingham hit out at the performance of Zwayer during the 3-2 defeat as Dortmund were left frustrated after the referee turned down appeals for a penalty - only to award Bayern one for a Mats Hummels handball.

And after the game Bellingham told ViaPlay: "You give a referee, that has match fixed before, the biggest game in Germany, what do you expect?

Yeah, I would expect more cheating. :/ If he's done it once, he is gone. That's really disturbing that a known cheat gets to call games.

Nice wee documentary about Pierluigi Collina.

Samuel Kuffour showing that it is much more than a game. Always felt sympathy for him. Not so much for Oliver Kahn. haha

Expecting a few changes tomorrow. The perfect game in a way. Can give the players a go and you don't have to worry about the result. The fixture list does look quite dreamy if we're just going by names. Excited.

It's all kickin off in Leipzig vs City. Kyle Walker sent off not long after City got back into the game.

Both Milan and Atletico heading out the way this is going. Dortmund already out. Barcelona could follow.

Just had to check all group standings and OF COURSE Sevilla are third in their group at the moment. Everyone thinking what I am thinking...

Atletico go through. Milan finish bottom of the group.

Maybe it will even help focusing on the title race, who knows. All other contenders in Italy will play European matches in spring.

40 year old Zlatan leading the Rossoneri to old glory. Imagine that...
Been sitting here for about an hour and I'm still no closer to knowing. :p What's on your mind?
That they will win Europa League again. :D
