More than anything I believe it’ll take a cumulative effort to defeat him imo.

Remember how the long 5-setter v. Zverev and all the time spent on court left Djokovic far below his best in USO 21, compared to this year when he played (essentially) bums and was perfectly well rested aside from one 5 setter vs Djere.

And even before that, the RG 20/21 final was an example of how a long and intense SF can leave him vulnerable in the final (getting bageled by Nadal in 20, going down 0-2 to Tsitsipas and looking flat)

While Medvedev lost yesterday he definitely took a lot physically from Djokovic — if you think about something like Sinner or Zverev in the QF, Medvedev in the SF, and then Carlos in the final, I’m sure he could probably get through each of those individually, but not back to back to back.

In a single match with Alcaraz, toe to toe.
If Z/Rune/Med/Sinner (any combination of 2) in his half and SHOW UP in Q/Semi, he will be definitely underdog.

Good thing you, as well as i, don't acknowledge the illegitimate 2022 vulture-friendly edition as anything more than a farce. (y)
No, although it is not consecutive, his streak still exists and he has not lost in Melbourne since his loss to Chung in 2018 in the fourth round.
Nadal's title is legitimate, it has the same value as what Djokovic achieved at Wimbledon 2022.
But I ask you not to stray from the topic.
;)

Valid points.

Quality opponent in QF, quality opponent in SF and Alcaraz in F.

But I'm afraid that bosnian pyramids will be keep sending their woo-woo signal like they did this year and he is going to play ...Idk somone like Alexei Popyrin in SF (while NoIebots will be keep assuring that it's a dangerous opponent, australian home boy, gonna be tricky) and on the other side we will have a bloodbath between top 3 remaining contenders with Djokovic getting to play corpse in the final.

It is also possible that it will happen, at least the Australian Open semi-finals are now being played on the same day, as they always should have been.

This makes razs wimby win over novak even more amazing, as novak had an ok draw there.

To answer to title of the thread: Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev can defeat him.

To answer the pool: I'm not sure in what form will he be, but I think Alcaraz will defeat Novak in the finals.

Definitely not Medvedev tag me if he does. He can't handle Djokovic in Australia at all. I was hell wrong at AO 21.

Don't trust anyone against him at AO. Maybe Alcaraz Zverev and Sinner had the best chance as an underdog.

Still anything can happen. Seeing how much Djokovic struggled during second set after Medvedev just playing good only half of the set makes you wonder about his phsyciality this is despite he won easily in earlier matches.

Djokovic is always beatable as he needs to be in good shape, have a favourable draw, and keep things together mentally.
