My mistake. I forgot they played in the 4th round at USO. So it's scary Stanimal in the 4th round for Djokovic potentially? I bet the AO organizers will NOT put Stanimal on Djoker's half. They want the big 3 to compete for legacy and get the big Federer/Nadal SF and a big 3 final (any 2 of the big 3 in the final is what the television networks are dying for). And tickets will go for over triple as scalpers would have a field day.

I think Djokovic would prefer that Medvedev wasn't in his half of the draw. Also, if Rafa can use the tactics that he did in set 2 in the ATP Cup final he could be a threat to the Djoker. If he wants to persist with the redundant tactics of set 1 then it will be business as usual for the AO King.

Best of five sets is a different animal, besides that the AO is the favorite Slam of the Serbian.
I see more likely that Tsitsipas can bend him, as long as the Greek meets the expectations of reaching the quarterfinals.
