That was an interference, should've been Gasquet's point.

Doesn't make much of a difference, Richard still wins the set.

Jerzy Janowicz could very well be good one day. Big server on a grass court is not a surprise that he's winning a bit.

He just has to do it on other surfaces too.

I haven't seen him play to be honest. I know he's a big server but his ground strokes must be pretty good too since he is almost breaking Mayer in all his service games.

Play suspended on the outside court doubles. I'm sure in Wimbledon pasts they've played until 9.30 and beyond. This year 9pm seems to be quitting time. What's different this year?

And they only used to suspend play at even games but now anything goes. What gives? Or should I really not care about this kind of stuff?

Must be the extra leap second they are adding this year.

Not saying that Federer will win playing like this (because he won't), but it's worth nothing that something similar happened when Nadal went out at Roland Garros in 2009. The day after Nadal lost, Roger went out flat and dropped the first two sets in his fourth round match against Tommy Haas, then, two rounds later, found himself two-sets-to-one against Del Potro.

Federer's gonna have to play way better, as I think he wouldn't gotten routined by Novak today, but maybe this portends good things for next week?

B Baker just lost 2 points on his serves so far. He just breaks Paire and is serving for the set.

Paire going in the tank - Baker now up 2 sets to 1. Paire was serving at 1-5 in the 3rd and got broke in about 45 seconds - no bouncing of the ball before serving; just threw a weak 1st serve in came to the net and put 3 shots in a row in the bottom of the net. I wouldn't be surprised to see another lopsided set in the 4th.

I just noticed Baker will be ranked in the top 100 after Wimbledon (unless Rosol beats Kohlschreiber).

If he wins today (looks so at the moment) he gets to 77 at least.

Paire guts out a hold so its now 3-1 Baker - he showed a little fight in that game but Baker about to hold to go up 4-1

Also, if Baker beats Kohlschreiber/Rosol (and reaches the QF) he will be ranked around 53.

What a great story. Hope he keeps this up.

Baker needs to finish this now - that last hold for Baker took a while. Wind is starting to gust and he sprayed a bunch of forehands wide.

Baker automatically into the US Open now.

His qualie days are over for the near future.

kolschreiber handling his business so will be a tough match for Baker next round.

Pfft. The USTA would have gotten Baker wildcards into Toronto, Cincy, and the US OPEN even if he was ranked 500 in the world. Us Americans needs a feel-good story.

True, but he had to qualify for Wimbledon, so thought it was worth mentioning.

"Nice to know my generation was so good" remarks Federer off-hand in his BBC1 interview, when the number of over 30s in the draw at the FO is pointed out to him by Sue Barker.
