They are really feeling the effects of Alves leaving. Alba has had a lot of injury problems which has led them to having a LB problem as well. Now on to the midfield. Andre Gomez is crap. Rakitic isn't in great form. Busquets has dropped a level or two these past couple of seasons. Iniesta is still on a great level IMO but they really need another great CM. They can't just keep relying on Messi bailing them out in every match.I stopped watching Serie A regularly somewhere around 2011, 2012... Just read that achievement in the news. Got to give Juve credit for recovering so well from that relegation to Serie B and now being an unstoppable force of the country.

Busquets has been sloppy, couldn't believe seeing him give the ball away so many times. He was the definition of confidence, control, calmness... Neymar and Rakitic have dropped as well though it's just temporary with them. Iniesta is at the end of his best days. Defense isn't helping either. What amazes me is that Barca were the ones who spent over 100 million this summer while the only work Real Madrid did was bringing Morata back. Judging by what was happening in Spain in the last 10 years or so, this was a big opportunity to get another La Liga title. But you really failed.

Tough to get over certain points dropped, like Malaga and Real Madrid at home, but it's a bit greedy to demand a La Liga trophy every season. 8 of the last 12 leagues is an amazing achievement, only Real Madrid in 60s and 70s have been this dominant in the country. I think it's better to enjoy your moment than whine about something not going your way.
They're on a good run yeah but 8 of them 9 wins in a row are games they should be expected to win really, even Spurs at home is never a difficult game for them, they always bend over at OT. Obviously no one bothers pointing the facts out, it's always "United are back" isn't it. well let's see what happens on Sunday, are they really back?
