I meant Black Knight. Sorry. I had been looking at GW when I wrote this.
50 on the BK, my usual tension.

Strung up two frames with Gut/ALU.
Broke the ALU crosses in both with the gut mains in perfect condition.
J
Gut mains perfect, ALU crosses broken.

Hey Jolly,
I see you are testing a lot of stuff. Isn't that ruining your style?
I mean you have to adapt every time to a new frame, a new string. Isn't that a bit nasty?
Love ALU but durability is awful on them. Not sure how many hours you got out of yours.
Zero.
J
Odd. I get about 4-5 hours and it pops on me.
I didn’t care for lynx so what does the tour version have to offer?Yoooooo... This Lynx Tour is legit.

I was on the play test for TW (link here). It was the Head Experimental Tour, later named Lynx Tour. It is very slightly shaped, not too jagged edged like some other shaped polys and I felt it played closer to round polys than shaped ones. Very soft and comfortable and it made for a very consistent stringbed (unlike regular Lynx which I felt was somewhat erratic). I liked this Lynx Tour, would definitely recommend you give it a shot since you like trying out different strings!I didn’t care for lynx so what does the tour version have to offer?
Really nice offering and good pricing! Head did a great job on this one!Yoooooo... This Lynx Tour is legit.

The obvious question... This or ... Grey Fire?Regular Lynx bloas. I am prepared to dub this the best poly Head has ever made (although that is a statement analogous to being the skinniest kid in fat camp.)

Grey Fire every day of the week and twice on Sunday. The obvious question... This or ... Grey Fire?
@J011yroger any possibility for a review of RPM power? I didn’t scroll through all 33 pages so I’m assuming you haven’t reviewed it.
I thought so.. thanks be safe.Grey Fire every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Hey @J011yroger pls copy the above link with header and paste on your first page after Volkl Cyclone's review like last time. All reviews on one page that way!
Thoughts on lynx tour (champagne/experimental) compared to bbo/alu/ptp?
Been playing with bbo in 6.1 and it's a dream. However switching to the ezone 98 it doesn't quite have the same mass that the wilsons have. I've ordered a few strings to try them out.
Thing with my yonex switch is that they don't have the same mass, but i've switched because it's lighter and because i've got 3 of them and won't have to worry about babying them.
Just trying to see what's out there and just want something easier on the arm whilst still getting good comfort. Although bbo was stiff I never got any tingling or anything.
I've got both sets coming and i'm not sure what tension they were in my wilsons because they came pre strung
What would you recommend? (ezone 98 2020)
Hey Jolly, any review for RPM rough with nat gut in the main, and comparison to alu power 17? Sorry if it's here, but there's a bit to go through.
Cheers,
Greg.
Full gut?No, I don't really like gut hybrids.
J
Guy kills thick gauge full poly in under an hour. Full bed gut will just snap in terror the moment he holds his racquet up.Full gut?
Cheers mateNo, I don't really like gut hybrids.

TWSS (25 mins = not bad IMO)I like it but it lasts 25 minutes.

how would you compare Grey Fire to Alu Power? how about durability?
Hey @J011yroger, am thinking of trying out Black Knight. How would you say it compares to Hyper G, Yonex Poly Tour Pro, or Element?
Have you ever tried any Kirschbaum offerings?
Gah, talked to the Aus rep and they don't stock BK 1.28. Not even going to bother with 1.23 as I know it won't last. Those are all very different strings, just try BK and if you don't like it cut it out.

Any similar alternatives to suggest?

Rep told me US parent company hasn't finished developing the site.Crap! Might be due to covid or new web. I will chat to the rep. And fill you in. I use to get them from Stefan in the Euro division before also.
