I'm guessing you mean return of serves. Yeah I was definitely pushing them back because every time I tried to take a full swing I would miss by a mile. More of a consistency issue..

White shirt blue shorts, what in the world is going on with the twisty-mac-twisty-rooski before hitting the serve ball, the racket is spinning all over the place. I think it would give me the giggles so hard to watch that, I couldn't return that serve I would be laughing so much. Still it's a good serve, but whaaaat?

Here's a match I played a few months ago. Would appreciate constructive criticism, I'm in the red.
As a side note, check out SwingVision, its a tennis tracking AI and has lots of cool features like cutting the dead time out between points. They just released an update with some new features I plan on testing soon and will upload the video here. Also, the ball speed is obviously quite inaccurate in the video but they are working on making it better.

Have the Flex Leagues starting in a week, so got out with a friend from the team to start getting more match play in. Did a practice match. I did win 6/4 6/0, but this is his first match in quite a long time. We played out a third set and he won 2/6. These are just some decent points, though there was many more one-and-done points overall. Felt good on court overall.

Haha should be safety against him.
They are prescription. My contacts have been giving my eyes a lot of trouble the last few years so I have to pull a Tipsarevic and go with the rims.

No contacts for me. Just dealing with the lack of depth perception a bit. Night time is the worst though.

Yea thats what I've been noticing. Its much tougher at night, especially with poor light systems. Not too bad for me since I'm only coaching and not hitting at night.

Third match recently. Serve is holding up and return of serve has been the difference - really solid with variety. Still off on groundies, just feeling out of position and not getting my spacing. This match was another first strike type match-up with T having a pretty big serve and older serve-and-volley low sliding shots. I was trying to play with less margin and really drastic changes in pace and depth. Anyway, a few select points....

As the above poster said, your movement is super good. I get lazy quite fast , I blame the 90 degree weather and 90% humidity for that .

Thanks.Been lucky or smart enough to keep that up at least. I am trying to be more efficient there, but find when moving forward I miss my split now moving in. Good to see ya around again.
Thanks! Right now AZ has weather in spades and it feels good to move. During summer...115 degrees + is probably the same feeling you get and I die out there. Cheers.

I was playing someone I hadn't played in a long while with my contacts in. He said my serving was WAY better than the last time out. I told him, 'I was wearing my reading glasses'. He laughed.
Basically, if I show up with my glasses, it's because my contacts are bothering me, and I am just there for the exercise. I am mostly using the force with my reading glasses on.
