I can't watch the games, but I'm following the scores online and I can't wait to see the highlights
SPOILER:
SO far Arsenal is tied 2-2 while Inter is ahead in Italy 1-0
How the hell did Arsenal manage to do that? Barcelona were so much better then them (especially in the first half, where I think they had like 70% of the possession) it wasn't even funny. What a match. Ref sucked though, Fabregas's booking was undeserved (he got the ball first, perfectly clean tackle in my book) and the penalty he got was another weak decision.
Yeah, honestly wtf, how could he give a red card to Puyol? At most, that was a yellow card. He didn't even tackle him. I mean, they get the PK anyways!
Morning 10s bums!
Urrrrggghhhh... horrendous back-ache for a whole week now!
No tennis, but I've still had to bloody work... and dosed up everyday on pain-killers - I fear I'm starting a Robbie Williams-like dependancy here! (Wasn't he on something like 20 Neurofen, 40 Silk Cut, and 10 expressos every day!?)
Anyway, there's a host of possible causes... playing of course... running related (as in joging)... sitting at the computer for too long... lugging/carrying/hauling/lifting/generally being a cart-horse for a young family (any blokes out there with young kids will know this one! )... but for one thing, in future I'm definitely going to doing a bit more of this, I think:
BTW... I'm also thinking of doing some stretching too...

Mongish conspiracy theories ftl, turns out the officials still favour rubles.
Commmmme Onnnnnnn Youuuuuuuuu Spurrrrrrrrrrrrrs! \o/
Looking forward to the run-in with both excitement and nervousness.
We've been here before, however, this time around I hope it doesn't end with a dodgy lasagne.
You lot got done...
Oh. My. God.
I honestly can't believe what I just saw. Messi......he's football's answer to Federer x 10. His performance was out of this world. If someone says that Argentina aren't among the favorites for South Africa, they should be banned from watching sport.
If he's this good at 22, can't imagine him at 28.

Did u actually watch the whole game, not just the goals? He wasn't that great, yes he scored 4 goals but he also lost the ball plenty of times and hits the ground WAY to much. He shoots when he should pass to an open team mate way to much as well!! He is great don't get me wrong but he still needs to improve. If you watch him during the league he dissappears alot during a match and is too gready. He holds on to the ball to much. If he wasnt on Barca they would still be a great team. The team as a whole is the really great. He is not NO Where that good for Argentina, reason because Argentina is not Barca.

Yes he was, except for falling to the ground too easily a couple of times - which usually happened after he already beat 3-4 Arsenal players - he was exceptional all over the pitch. Always was dangerous whenever he got the ball whether it was with his dribbling or his passing or his shooting. Off the ball there was always pressure from he and Pedro to stop Arsenal from being able to build up play.
Has to be best player in the world right now ahead of Ronaldo though it's definitely close.
Agreed on the Argentina point though it's impossible for him to be the same player there when his team doesn't have 70% possession every game and there's no dominant midfield and an awful manager to add on top of it.

Messi's already a million times better than Zidane/Figo.
Really hope Bayern can go through tonight!
Oh deary me, two offside goals that may haunt United's season. The one that got Bayern through against Fiorentina and the one that knocked them from the top of the league.

I only saw highlights of last night's match but anyway... Man U losing to Bayern? ...
Hmm, ok Rafael got sent off, but is that result good still acceptable?... should a so-so Bayern team be knocking Man U out of the Champ.'s League?... did Fergie get it wrong a little over the 2 legs?... and what about the no. of goals conceded?
R.
People are saying that the Rafael sending off was the turning point but it was Carrick's failure to deal with Olic just before half time that turned it around imo.

United were much too good for 40 minutes and could have had 6 as easily as they had 3. But they had already started to take their foot off the pedal before Olic scored. United last night were an inexperienced 11/unit and didn't quite know what to do once they were in the clear. Bayern on the other hand, who could easily have lost by 10 goals or so over the two legs if Rooney had been fit, have real experience in their attacking players and did very well to galvanize themselves at 3 - 0 down. So well done to them, they have a real chance of making the final and then its all about what happens on the night. They have already beaten two better sides.
United killed Bayern with pace on the flanks. But Valencia, for all that he can be very good when he has the ball, doesn't quite get involved enough. Rafael, who was a little unlucky to be censured by he referee for an early bit of retaliation when he had fooled one of Bayern's monolithic defenders, had to do too much of the work on the right flank. Nani got more involved. In midfield, United lack pace. Carrick does too little and tends to replicate Fletcher, while the excellent Park seems always to be trying to fnd a role.
It's a shame that the injury to Rooney has come at such a bad time. It reminds me slightly of 2000 when United played, in the latter stages of the Champions League and the domestic season, the best football I have ever seen by an English club only to lose Beckham and Keane to injury against Deportivo. They ended up losing the league to a comparatively pedestrian Arsenal side. The race not always to the swift. The rest, for England and the Republic in the Word Cup, is history. I very much hope that Rooney is properly fit to play in the World Cup.

You mean 2002? Arsenal won it in '97-'98, '01-'02 and '03-'04, if I'm not mistaken. United won it in 2000.
Well you got your wish
Now watch them steamroll Blackburn, Man City, Tottenham, Sunderland and Stoke in the league.
