Heart says Stan, head say Lopez. Hope Stan can take it to a 5 setter but Lopez is just too dangerous on grass. That being said Stan does seem to be playing uncharacteristically well this past week (for grass) so he could surprise us all

nice to see a Stan thread. The "Stanwagon" seemed to have gotten silenced after his recent early exits. Now it feels more like he's a darkhorse, but that will probably help him mentally.

Stan's backhand shines best when he's trading blows from the backcourt. I don't think his passing shots are as good though.

Fun fact: Lopez is scheduled to play both the second (singles) and the fourth (doubles) match in Court 2. And the third match is a suspended women's doubles match that's already well into the second set!

Wawa was once Federer slapping man and choker. You never know....

I think Lopez is way more Natural on Grass and they way he played the last few weeks.

Federer will have a easier time with Stan.

Look I am not saying Wawa has the grass game to beat Fed but at least he's won a slam and he's already beaten Fed this season. Against someone like Fed, the mental is paramount. Lopez may have a nice grass game but his mental is abominable. Recipe for disaster vs Fed + I don't think Lopez's style would have bothered Fed much. He will have more trouble vs a solid ground game.

This is what a YouTube comment says:

Lopez was generally angry and there was a game where Lopez returned really badly and said "fantastico" as he was at the changover. Wawrinka interpreted it incorrectly and had a go at him. Later Stan stopped Lopez serving because some people were talking and lopez got angry.
