Same, I'm dying for him to finally come good.

Why?

He's got a boring game, he has the most appalling attitude, arrogant and smug and he's disrespectful to the sport (tanking against Roddick)

There's plenty of other upcoming Aussie talent to get excited about Kokki had a good win and Kyrgios certainly has a lot of talent. Those boys seem like they are willing to work for it not like Tomic who thinks it's all going to come to him.

Lost interest there.

His game is exceptional, I love watching it myself.

He came back from 2 hip surgeries almost a month early and got hammered by Niemenen and all he got was ridiculed, if Nadal or Ferrer played like that they'd be commended for their 'warrior' mentality.

The moment a bit of mud got slung at him everyone decided to just create a landslide, despite that he missed almost half of last season and still ended up in the top 100 a few points away from the top 50.

I want every aussie to do well, and I like Tomic's game just as much as I liked Hewitt for his passion or Kyrgios for his confidence.

Edit: His whole game tonight has been painting the lines and taking it to Querrey whenever he can, far from bore inducing.

Neither has a history of tanking and immature decisions. Whereas both have a strong track record of giving it all/laying it all out on the court.

Nadal played a major Finals with back spasms out of respect for the opponent, knowing he's compromised. I'm sure Tomic would have just called it, get out early, and party the night away.

Ferrer is 80 years old, he has more heart than Tomic and he hustles more than that 20 something years old.

When did Nadal do that?

You just don't actually watch tennis at all, do you?

Funny though, folk like you make this whole place worthwhile, accidental comedy gold

Nah you're right, I don't watch tennis at all. I'm sure you do though.

I guess Newcombe doesn't actually watch tennis either because he's the one who said it. But I'm sure you do.

Pathetic little troll.

Matosevic was crushing Johnson for a set and a half before collapsing.
Saved three match points in the last game but it wasn't enough.
GSM Johnson.

and Newcombe said that when. exactly?

(not that he has made any sense in at least 20 years, lol, "they should serve and volley on the second serve to break up the play'!'
ye, right, bewdy Newk)

I was actually on the front page of the TA website a couple of months ago, lol

I know nothing...

This Hewitt/Groth match is exceeding my expectations.

Sam's play to go up *1-0 in the 2nd was impressive.

I can't really decide who I want to win.
I want Hewitt to defend his points as he needs to, but I want Groth to improve and move up the rankings.

At this stage I'm behind Hewitt I think.

Groth has really channelled his game to work with his strengths. He definitely deserves his rise through the rankings last year and is causing Hewitt all sorts of problems.

Hewitt will lose a ton of ranking points here.

Hewitt doesn't seem to have the "Hewitt" passion, he's limp and Groth is playing darn well.
