What amazes me is about Novak is that despite his utterly dominant season, when pushed just a little his psyche unravels and it effects his demeanor and play. You'd think he would have more mental toughness.

It has nothing to do with his mentality. He's easily mentally strong enough, it's all about the physical effect Stan has on him.

I mean the mental aspect is not what hurts him against Wawrinka. Of course he gets flustered but it doesn't really affect his play.
