The sports lingo developing rapidly. My favorite from tonight’s match is “mentaruna tsuyosa” (mental strength, I am guessing), lmao...
Yes, crazy mixture of kana and kanji. I think Japanese is the hardest language on the planet. ;(

You have to wonder why Djokovic lets any of these guys get any games or sets? Its obvious that he let Stan have the 2nd set? Do they fix these matches or what. This is the only reason I can think of that Djok lets anyone win any games at all.
I think they fix it sometimes for him to win. 7 or 8 times out 10 his opponents hit the ball out in a favorable position in a big point.

Someone being here for a longer time does not make him a better poster than the one who joined recently.

Hundreds of posters come and go, only few stay here for more than year. You look like a standard poster from the first group. Driven by Djokovic's success you decided to join in, you come here every day, post a lot (already 1600 posts in a very short timespan) the moment the bubble burts, Djokovic falls from his high horse you'll leave this place and take 95% of the "Djokovic fans" with you, all of which BY SOME WEIRD COINCIDENCE also registered in 2015.

Who are you to judge whether a guy is a Djokovic fan or not? I am done trying to convince you about my loyalty towards Novak. You are yet to convince me you support any player because I hardly see you do anything except mentioning Djoko everywhere. But it is none of my business to analyse that.
Less than 20 posts a day is hardly anything if you take into account that there are threads about live matches.
If Djokovic is getting this amount of stick from the likes of you when he is winning 90% of all big titles, there will be no problem for me or any other fan of his to stay here once his percentage drops. Just to remind you, Djokovic is not the most successful guy tennis has ever seen.

You're wasting your energy with such a long paragraph.

I'm glad I annoy you, aw shucks :D

Btw you quoted my post when I showed the match stats. The first time I quoted you was to just laugh at you with the Simpsons GIF, where your input wasn't required. Second, for someone who you don't care about, you sure do talk about him a lot. Even more than Djokovic2011 and he wasn't even active this thread!
In this forum hate is the sincerest form of flattery. ;)

Yep, I'm about a week here (new Nole gloryhunter of course - I didn't register because I had a question regarding racquets and just realized afterwards that you can discuss about tennis here ) and since I have ignored 3 people everything looks much better. :)
Sorry bro.... Regardless of how much exercises you give, you'll be considered the great Novak glory hunter. Enjoy glory hunting.

Not sure about other languages, but Japanese is infinitely complex, for sure. Billion ways to say the same thing.
It's the mixture two kinds of kana and kanji. Half the time you are dealing with phonetics (not too hard), but the next characters that have upteen "readings"!

The moment Novak broke Stan in the 3rd, I had the feeling that it would be AO all over again - that bagel switch was flipped.
Nevertheless, Stan's smile at the net showed a good friend of Novak's.

Kana is easy. Pick up a few hundred kanji in addition to that and at least you’ll be able to read important signs dumbed down for children, foreigners, high school dropouts, and other mentally challenged demographics.

Laaksonen breaks back. This Finnish man is not as simple as he looks. No wonder the Zurich federation grabbed him as soon as they saw that Federer and Wawrinka were washed-up garbage.

I had to go eat lunch so I haven't commented on the match. I'm sorry but Novak handled Stan today. Wawrinka was blasting off the ground today and was surprisingly on his game in a Masters event. It must be something about playing in Paris again. He made a match of it and took the second set but Novak responded incredibly well in that 3rd set. He just upped his level to top gear. This is what we were expecting him to do at the French but I never felt he stepped in and took control of the match and allowed Stan to dictate. He didn't do that today and refused to be bossed. Incredible stuff from Novak in that last set and especially his net play.

I agree, Novak's net play today was pretty impressive. He still looks awkward and goofy up at net, but if it gets the job done, more power to him. Glad to see Rafa coming in more and more as well.

You have to admit though, he's gotten a lot better up there this year.

What the heck happened to Stan in the decider (have recorded it and will watch it later)? Not even 1 lousy game? Shades of their AO semi-final.

Stan on the loss:

I did a few mistakes, first three games, and then he started to relax and play too fast. I had no more energy to come back at 0-3.

very clear the schedule is to be blamed

Djokovic is incredible. Legendary stuff we are witnessing here. All the talk about Serena Williams season this year but Novak had a better one, in my opinion.

It was. Stan played well for some parts, especially when he won 5 consecutive games in the 2nd set. Djokovic was very good and was not bothered by losing that set as he stepped up and bageled him in the decider.
I saw the highlights. He looked like he was hitting the ball much better than his previous matches here

Schedule was idiotic, that's for sure.

Wawrinka benefited from the idiotic schedule at the French this year when Djokovic had to play 3 consecutive days. It's better to have it happen in a Masters 1000 event than a Slam...just saying

Don't understand two things.

How did Tsonga not get second slot like 2013?
How did Novak **** it up to go 5 sets when he was up 6-3 6-3 2-0

What do you mean by second slot? Novak lost his focus, didn't put his foot on the gas and let Murray draw him into long pointless rallies. He forgot about his original gameplan which was being really aggressive and destroying Murray. Murray was happy to sit on the baseline and enjoy long rallies because he had more of a chance.

So that is partially Novak's fault, not just schedule.
