I don't think it's a Federer thing, for some reason the crowd in London appeared to really not take to Djokovic though.
When I was there on Sunday for the Berrettini match, I found it take noticeable. I get that Matteo was the underdog, but it felt like more than that ... So much so that it actually made me cheer for Novak.

Still think Djokovic had the more dominant forehand. Federer served unbelievable to win it. Federer’s phenomenal serve has helped greatly with his longevity. I doubt Djokovic or Nadal will be anywhere near as good at 38 if they are still playing.

The crowd thing is all about federer. It is becuase federer has been getting beaten and fed fans can not handle it like mature adults. Just observe the behavior on TTW.

I meme 40-15 as much as the next guy but there were some of us that never gave up belief he could beat Djokovic again. He got close too many times to think that he couldn't ever beat him again. This certainly does not erase the sting from Wimbledon but it is an incredible win for Roger even if Djokovic didn't play his best - because in the past 5 years Federer hasn't even been finding ways to beat Djokovic at ANY form, so this is a big win.

I like and respect you as one of the best Novak posters here, but complaining about hostile crowds against Novak has got to be old news by now. I've said it a million times-- Novak should be like Lendl or Medvedev and not give one damn about being unpopular. If he embraced the villain's role in 2008 when he first won a slam, he'd have a whole lot more support instead of the fakery and drawing hearts in the clay. Nobody is competing against Fed in terms of tennis popularity, you know that.
Nadal is a solid #2 in popularity, but he's still lagging away behind Fed. Not to mention Roger is not responsible for the behavior of his fans.Daniel Andrade

It is mostly a Federer thing and the fans are still upset about Wimbledon. They already don't care for Novak because most of them in London prefer Federer or Murray, but Djokovic has taken so much from Federer that they act like jerks everytime he plays at Wimbledon, and it amplified when he plays Federer.

It's hard to not to comment on it when they act like houligans everytime. It's not about popularity. It's about them trying to disrupt Novak because they fear him so much and don't think Federer can beat him without them disrupting him. Unfortunately for them, it has been less successful than they'd like.

Neither Djokovic or Nadal bring out the fat, drunken slobs that Federer does the type of crowds he brings are casual as **** you can just tell you and the rest of the Federer fans are just like them as you perfectly demonstrate the same behavior.
Fed fanbase is without a doubt the worst fanbase ever this is why I wanted Novak to rip him to pieces in every GS final.

Yea I stopped caring about popularity when I left high school and thought it was stupid even then. I may not like a player but would never act like a fool at a match because I wanted my guy to win. Show some respect, especially for champions who have achieved so much.

Oh, come off it, all the fanbases have rotten fans, I'm tired of this whole "xxx fan base is the worst" crap it's just bs.
Only difference is there are more Fed fans, hence more bad Fed fans too. But plenty of haters in the other fanbases too, as you can observe on this board.
I support Fed but hate people cheering DFs. Don't tar us all with the same brush and we won't do the same to you either.
