Every time any relatively young player loses badly we always get the "LOL Pathetic Next Gen!" comments. I know this forum has a strong recency bias about everything, but I just looked up Zverev's age and realized he hasn't even turned 22 yet (LOL for some reason I thought he was turning 25!). I think the jury is still out on him and he still has to make a lot of improvements to his game.
I want to ask some of them if they were at the top of their careers at 21. I sure wasn't. He is still young and he is coming off the flu he had in IW, which I might add he played through rather than withdrawing from the tournament.

Raonic injured or did Edmund just outplay him? I didn't watch the match but i'm hoping he doesnt have yet another injury when he's had a reasonably good start to the year.

He may be injured but Edmund deserved the win. Of course, I'm a Brit and may be a wee bit biased.

Basihilashvilhii will be dangerous. He is hitting the ball great, and I think the courtspeed is great for him. Got time to realy smack the ball.

Edit: But why has he taped over the swoosh on his shoes all of a suden?

Are you a professional athlete? Otherwise that comment is totally irrelevant

I'm soooooooooooo sick of the Tennis Channel, since it partnered with the WTA that's all they show. Any other way to watch more ATP other than their Plus service?

Have a feeling Delbonis will win, Djokovic doesn't seem motivated for Masters anymore. I believe he only won Cincy because he was motivated for Golden Masters, and Shanghai was not with tough competition. But I have to cheer for Djokovic, I need him to make sure Federer won't win. So go Djokovic. If he plays Federer, I believe he is motivated.

Curious to know why. Is it the points, that will allow Federer to chase the number two spot?

I don't know why, I like Federer's playing style, of course not as much as Nadal's, but well probably it's because he is Nadal's rival, I just can't cheer for him, almost any time.

Fair enough, but Djokovic is the bigger danger to Nadal.

Yeah, but I still believe Nadal can reach Federer's Grand Slam Record, more than I believe Djokovic will reach Nadal's, and the Masters record I'm not too worried about, mostly because it's far as important as the Grand Slam Record. So if Fed can't win Masters, he could being to play worse at Grand Slams too.

Earth's Mightiest should come out every time with the ATP heavyweight championship belt over his shoulder.

The first thing I would do if I was running the ATP is make that strap, and have the champ pose with it during the tour.

Got it. It's about making sure Federer doesn't have the momentum to win another slam and keep the big prize, the slam record away from Nadal's grip.

Hitman do you like the new location or do you prefer the old location and beautiful key Biscayne

I have been to Key Biscayne many times, so not too thrilled about the new setting, especially considering the main court is just a temporary one, that will be taken down straight after the event.

ND sets up perfectly for nearly every shot

Delbonis looks is late / casual on a few and you can see they are going to be an error

So every year they're going to have to rebuild the stadium in hard Rock dolphins stadium or do they have a plan to actually build their own stadium

Djokovic while playing good, is putting too much air under the ball, still not fully comfortable with these new conditions.

Happy to see FAA do well as he seems to very likely be a future ATG with a fun gsme to watch, but this first set highlights the ridiculous nature of tennis’ system of scoring. Hurkacz won TWICE as many return points as did FAA in that first set and somehow still “lost” the set.

Hurkacz is a pretty good ball striker and has a good power.

Still Hurkacz is the servebot, though
