@TW Staff: Any word on a new shoe with tread wear warranty?

We're sitting on two Adidas credits and about to ship off another worn pair of Barricades. In 2 months we'll probably be sitting on four credits.

Thx,
Jon

@illzoni,

adidas is not offering a 6 month warranty guarantee shoe for the rest of 2019 and at least the first half of 2020. As far as I am aware, they do not have any plans going forward to offer one unfortunately.

Sorry,
Brittany, TW

Well, that really sucks.

I guess we'll have to spend the time it takes him to wear out the shoes we buy on credits to find something different. We certainly can't pay for his shoes throughout college without the warranty.

Oh, thanks for getting back to me.

Are you really upset that you can’t get your kid through college for the price of one pair of shoes?
Wow.

No. I'm upset that shoes that wear out in as little as 2 months won't be replaced under warranty.
And I'm afraid the level and regularity of his play in college will accelerate the pace of wear. It will be expensive.

Something tells me you have zero clue how fast college players wear their shoes out. I went through a pair in under two months almost regularly. Even today at 35 years of age and being much slower than I was in college, I can absolutely annihilate a pair well under 6 months, the usual warranty time period.

Bottomline is that the warranty is very helpful, there is no question about it. You spend over a hundred bucks every two months or so and it starts to add up really fast. Add in other numerous college expenses and you get the bigger picture. As a parent, I can completely understand @illzoni's concern. My parents went through the same issue so I can relate.

Tsonga as well as Thiem wear the Solecourt Bounce non Boost variant
There is no Solecourt Bounce with non Boost variant being offered for sale. There is a Courtjam Bounce and a Solematch Bounce. Thiem endorses the Solecourt Boost but clearly wears a custom shoe that has the Courtjam Bounce bottom it seems.

I can't find this anywhere in TW website

I don't know if it's a mistake but the Blue clay ones are marked down to $105 in some places. Makes me think that they're not selling as well due to the clay outsole. I've complained about that too much, but it really does not make sense to me to not offer it in a hard court outsole.

I also forgot that these are fricking $160 new... I like the new colors but I'm not going to spend that much on shoes. Bad enough that racquets are now almost all $200+...

Finally got some of these and so far I am really impressed. I have ordered up a half size with most shoes due to having a wide foot, but I can finally order my true size with Adidas.

I really like how over a few hours of play it felt like the shoe had molded to my feet. The sides are pretty stiff which causes a little soreness, but it’s not noticable when I play and mainly if I have them on for a while after.

I also have a pair of Gel Res 7s which are real nice, but narrower and I have to size up. Ill be going between the two shoes for a little while. I think the Adidas look a lot nicer and are probably a better fit for my foot though.

I finally got a pair of the Sole Court Boost clay shoes today. I have been an 11.5 in every Barricade version the past ten years (and pretty much all running shoes), but I went with an 11 in the Sole Courts. When I compare them side by side with my 11.5 Barricades, they are pretty much the same size.

Mine softened up after about a week. No longer have any pressure points!

I dropped some Green Superfeet insoles, and I'm still not sure on them. I have a good arch, but I think it might be too big of an arch slightly.

Good to hear, thanks! I had superfeet green as well. I love the arch on these shoes as is and just use the regular insoles for now.

Scratch my earlier post. You can get both of the new solecourt boost colorways at 30% off through Adidas. Just have to make an account.

Update: Got a pair of the all white Parleys coming next week hopefully.

Yes I haven't had to put my custom insoles in the Solecourts yet. They pretty much fit my feet perfectly. Finding 10.5's around my tennis shops has not been easy though. I'd like to stock up as you never know when they will ruin it (like Asics did with my Gel Res Wide).

The all white parley ones are really classy. Was a bit concerned about heel slippage from first putting them on, but didn't have any issues in my match today. Probably going to go with thicker or 2 pairs of socks though.

Fit is great for me. I'm also a guy that usually goes up a half size to 11 to account for width, but these are great at 10.5

After a few days with my Superfeet Greens in, the soles have molded to my feet and are super comfortable!

Did a lot of sprinting back and forth, and I still roll my ankle sometimes unfortunately :( But I know it would be even worse if I wore any other shoe. Loving the grip compared to my old Barricades.

I wear size 9 in Ubersonic 3's, should I stick with 9 on the Solecourt's? They both have a similar wide toe box... I have a narrow foot.

I think you would be better sizing down 1/2 size on the Solecourts relative to the sizing experienced on Uber3s. I have both shoes and bought Solecourts just recently when on sale at the Adidas website. Size 10 in Solecourt fits the same as 10.5 in Uber3.

Both are pretty good shoes.

My second pair is on the way. Snagged them on sale. Great prices by the way. Anyway, I got the Blue Parleys which I liked ever since they were released. Glad I scratched the itch.

For sizing, I did not size down on my first pair (the first released colorway) and they fit me fine so went with my regular size again. Medium to medium-wide feet. I did have a terrible ankle roll with the SCB (posted pictures in earlier pages in this thread) but after recovery, I reluctantly started wearing them again and feet are now used to feedback. They might not be as stable for me (at least in the beginning - they feel fine now) but comfort is second to none.

So lately I've been getting forefoot pressure on the top of my right foot after playing in these shoes. I might need to try an alternate lacing pattern.

How did you roll the ankle with that freaking pontoon on the outside of the sole? I find these shoes incredibly stable. That being said i'm not terribly ankle roll prone.

I hustle a lot on court, a ton of lateral movement with quick bursts, lots of shuffling, split steps and changes in direction. I don't roll ankles that much either but this being a much softer shoe, it's pretty understandable. I did find the 18 Boost Barricade more stable than these. I was coming off those and had only worn the SCB a few hours of playtime when I hurt my ankle. Took me a while to be confident and find sure-footing after the incident.

Pretty much the same. I tend to roll my ankle when I am running up to the net then I need to do a quick cut back which results in a slight ankle inversion sprain. I have incredibly weak ankles though. I've tried playing with ankle braces, and I find that I somehow roll my ankle even more, no clue why.

I do wonder if maybe I am actually tripping myself up on that pontoon?

My feet is pretty wide and I am very picky with shoes as most of shoes hurt my pinky toe. I just got a pair of solecourt boost. The price is very good. Although it is said the toebox is wider in this shoes compared to most recent Barricade, it still hurt my pinky toe. I have to return it. I will have to keep using my favorite shoes Barricade V classic until I find a true roomy toebox shoes that doesn't hurt my pinky toes. Luckily my collection of Barricade V classic can still last me for a few years.

Adidas is coming up with a Boost HD (a firmer Boost),

Yes I think firming up the Boost will take out the heel-bone crunch for me. My footwork aint the best and on lunges I heard/felt that ominous heel bone hitting hardcourt sound thing, keeerrrunch. I just thought the Boost while perfectly adequate all over just wasn't up to the task in the heel... indeed

Seems Adidas US overwhelmed at the moment. No word on when my order ships. Had some tees, those Alphaskin socks and sliders in the order as well.

Ok, quick update; the package arrived. Everything else is good but I'm not happy with the size.

Well, this may sound weird but these aren't a 9.5 fit like my first pair. This is my second pair of SCB. My first ones are the black/red original ones (when SCB first came out). Got them in my size 9.5 and they fit great. These Parley one are also a 9.5 but I swear, my feet are swimming in it. These are definitely bigger. No wonder some have been suggesting to size down.

Does anyone have Parley and regular ones and can verify this? I'm trying to figure out if Parley SCB have a different, more wider/bigger fit. Kind of bummed because I might have to send them back.

Here is a pic of them. They do look fantastic in those Parley colors

You'd think the layouts would be the same for all the SCB's. I've never heard of different colorways altering size. Does adidas have different factories maybe?

I have two pairs of the black, yellow, fuscia colorway and they are the same fit. I can ask my wife if she notices her Parley's needed to be a size down from her usual size. My SCB's are bang on my 10.5 size.
