Venus had three break chances that were taken away by aces. They were both just hitting so well. Serena having some amazing gets and Venus having some nice net play. Serena's also pissed now because Venus took her time to challenge a ball that would've given Serena the game. It was clearly out, but still she's playing angry.

Anyways, it was good to see some hq play from them.

And Venus wins in a 3rd set tie breaker. I agree with you. I understand and applaud their decision, but I had been looking forward to watching some of the matches live for once.

It was a good match in the third set. Some really nice shot making by Venus.

Venus leads H2H 2-1, but Razzano won the last meeting/final 4:6 7:6 6:4 in 2007 (Tokyo).
I like both but i'm rooting for the French lady this time.

Both will be going to Cali though to do promotional/charity work & visiting hospitals/kids etc on behalf of the tour.

The new rules states that if any player skips a manadtory event, they need to do this to otherwise they will be banned from the tour for 2 weeks the follwing year, which would mean Miami 2010.

I'm glad they (Williams) have stuck to thier principles and that the tour will allow all players who skip top events the opportunity to compensate by promoting the tour in the area.

haven't seen much of him lately. i remember one female announcer mentioning how the sisters kept to each other, ignoring the other players in the locker room and disrespecting them in ways that newbies usually did not. now that others are the newbies, i wonder whether theyre more friendly now.
