Shows us that hes playing on faster indoor hardcourt and it doesn't make much sense so play as heavy as he'd play on clay or slow outdoor hard. Has nothing to do with the string, only with what his tactics are and how the ball comes from the opponent.

Nice! As we can see, he is getting less spin with the RPM Power, but more control, so he can swing freely without the fear of hitting long, hence his winners numbers went up.Proof

Would love to hear how you can attribute these differences in spin to the string alone? Especially given that there clearly aren't any other variables at play such as surface, playing style, opponents.....

I agree. What would be a better metric would be to compare his average topspin/speed/trajectory in his two matches against Federer at both of these events, as well as Federer's numbers in both of those matches (since Fed is the only one he played in both tournaments).

I have a few sets of lynx tour and rpm power
These are the 2 strings he’s been using this year
Lynx tour is a dream, crisp and powerful but controlled
Rpm power is very very dead. I strung it up at 48 and it felt super stiff, even made the head gravity mp feel stiff.
I’m a 5.0 tennis pro and former college player if anyone has any questions about the 2 strings.
I currently have a pure drive vs strung 38/45 rpm pwr main and rpm blast cross

Thiem was using Lynx? Which tournament? He was using Head Hawk with Experimental poly hybrid up until Indian Wells, and then changed to RPM, as far as I know.

The experimental poly was lynx tour
It’s an edged lynx that comes in natural color. Plays like a dream.

Above, my friend, is whats called a champagne color pallet..
official color of RPM Power is called electric brown... but its also a variant of dark champagne..
But yeah, don't do champagne a lot. I'm IPA sort of a guy..

i have been hitting with this string for a week now and it is pretty good string. Not as much spin potential as RPM blast but pretty good Feel and very good Power. Surprised how easy it was to generate topspin on the serves. and in Full bed, it is just as powerful as putting it in Hybrid. Only issue i noticed was if you mishit the ball off center or on edge of the racket, power level drops off drastically.

It's fairly stable in stock form but not unwieldy with some extra weight at 3&9. That said I've got all my lead tape up at 12...

Yep it looks like it. He played really well with this combo at IW 2019, but switched away from it after Wimbledon.
