Federer will never win Monte Carlo, calling it right now.

Intuitive.Federer will never win Monte Carlo, calling it right now.
He let Stan have it...Federer will never win Monte Carlo, calling it right now.
Been there done that.Roger, come to HOUSTON!
Lol with the field and the way he's playing these days, only Nadal will beat him in a best of 5 match. Which top player is playing well enough to take 3 sets off of him, even on clay. Even last year, he couldve made the RG final.
The problem is that if he does that, he wont be fit enough for the rest of the year.
I know it's a long shot but i would to see him play Rome and RG, just to see if he could make a run in the final, especially since Rafa is injured and Rogi has all the confidence in the world against Rafa. He could rest for around 2 weeks then and then start his prep for Wimbledon. I know he wont get any match practice before Wimby, but he's good enough to still beat the field in Wimb. Then, have a month long break, play Cincy and USO.
Just a thought
LoLFederer's clay season:
Warmup:
Main event:
Certainly won't if he doesn't play it.
He was very close in 2014 but red hot stan showed upCertainly won't if he doesn't play it.
Not if he goes deep in MiamiBeen there done that.
Novak could try it at this rate...
MurygoatLove to see Murray win it. That would be something.
Hopefully he makes his announcement about clay after RG

Did he play in 2015? In 16 he lost a close match against tsonga
It's the only Masters event he has yet to make a final at (keeps running into a certain Mallorcan in the semis).
The only big event anywhere where he has not played a final. If he does it, he joins Fedal as making all the big finals, slams, WTF, Olympics, Davis Cup, Masters...not even Djokovic has that to his name. Big feather in the cap.
Next up, Fed confirms he won't be playing Barcelona?
Novak making a deep run in Miami. Not if he goes deep in Miami
At the moment, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed he will be able to make ANY finals anytime soon.

I think he has one final run. He won't reach the crazy heights of 2016 but I feel he will win a few.
In his best 3 runs at MC ('09, '11 & '16) he was always drawn in Nadal's half so kept running into him in the semis. If only he could have been on the other side of the draw just once in any of those 3 runs he would probably have made at least 1 final and so completed the full set. But it is what it is.
He has said that he is not interested in chasing rankings anymore (been there, done that and paid a bigger price than he had bargained for) but just wants to get out there and start playing again and hopefully become competitive again. I'm sure there are half a dozen former top players who are currently hoping for the same.
...........and his quest to equal Rafa's 10 RG crowns.
These are some records of Nadal's that Fed can aspire to although, with some of them, that ship has sailed:You sound disatisfied by nadals career. Like you cant enjoy rafa, you are longing for more, longing for fed.
There aren't any records that fed is chasing of nadal. There aren't any nadal records which fed doesn't have a similar accomplishment or better. In fact it is nadal who is hanging around trying to catch 20 slams. Nadal will not retire until he knows slam count is gone forever (news flash it has) Maybe nadal is going for 5 titles at 3 slams.
La decima is something made up as nadal trolls have accepted slam count and no1 is forever gone so they are going with the 1 trick RG. Nothing magic about 10. 9 or 11 are similarly good for rafa. Or maybe no one made a fuss as fed already has 11 hardcourt slams and 8 grass slams.
10 titles anywhere clearly isnt a priority - if fed played cinci and won last year he would be gunning for his 9th this year. He skipped it as 10 is irrelvant. As he skipped dubai and many other tournaments where he has 5,6 or 7 titles. Dubai had a joke field could have easily got 8 titles and gone for 9 next year. Clearly 10 titles is a nadal unfulfilled fan dream creation
Sounds like your not happy with nadals career? 10 titles not enough? Do you long for a federer like career? Just enjoy rafas career, why the obession with federer?
Please dear lord, just this one thing; fedr on clay in 2018.
These are some records of Nadal's that Fed can aspire to although, with some of them, that ship has sailed:
Returning after 7 months off and ending the year as #1
10 consecutive years of winning 1+ grand slam title (2005-2014)
Simultaneous holder of Olympic singles gold medal and Majors on clay, grass, and hard court
Achieved the Career Grand Slam + Olympic Singles Gold medal + Olympic Doubles Gold Medal
Youngest men's player to achieve a Career Grand Slam (aged 24)
Youngest men's player to achieve a Career Golden Slam (aged 24)
Highest overall clay court match win percentage - 91.75% (389-35)
Only male player to win an Olympic gold medal in singles and an Olympic gold medal in doubles in two separate Olympics in Open Era
Longest single surface win streak (Clay courts - 81)
30 titles won from three tournaments (10 at French Open, Barcelona, and Monte Carlo)
Used to be a @clarky here a while ago...
It's futile comparing a 36 year old to a 31 year old who holds a positive h2h against the old man.Also @clayqueen
No point listing hundreds of records nadal is no where in the same league as fed. Two most important ones:
Nadals slam count is not in the 20's (fed stands alone in 20's)
His no 1 count is not in the 300's (fed stand alone in 300's)
Bonus: Nadals WTF is in the 0's
sounds like you are very disatsified with nadals career. Not content at all. Does the jones family next door have a bigger car?
Why so unfulfilled?
All of this was old news, I already posted in another thread that he would not play any of the clay tune ups because of:Score for @BeatlesFan

@nikdom He said it in Rotterdam, also during the Match for Africa against Gates.Just curious, when did he say he would ‘make an announcement after Indian Wells’? Source?

Can't win either. What's the brainiac observation in this?
That Nadal already has enough wins against Federer and he doesn't need any to maintain the h2h?Can't win either. What's the brainiac observation in this?

Also, I hate quoting the Express, but his exact words were: ""But the decision will only be made after Indian Wells."

It could be. But I have to think twice, because there are also two pad changes. Last year I did not play a Grand Slam for the first time, even though I was fit. It looks like I'm going to play less on sand. But the decision will only be made after Indian Wells.

Federer and Nadal are freaks of the game who have transcended the sport. Federer and Nadal fans should be completely satisfied with what these two titans have done. Some of the numbers put up by these two are unfathomable. And I stand by what I said.
Nadal's silent message to those that follow.
If you want to get to Federer, you have to go through me first...and going through me is going to take more than you can possibly imagine....
It's futile comparing a 36 year old to a 31 year old who holds a positive h2h against the old man.
But the 31-year-old Nadal doesn’t have a positive H2H against the 36-year-old Davydenko. It's futile comparing a 36 year old to a 31 year old who holds a positive h2h against the old man.
