Well, he certainly has a motive, after Davis Cup. And his movement seems to have improved.

I've seen Rafa beat DelPo on hard at IW, outsmarting him tactically. I really think it's about how much he wants to win.

I disagree. Federer may have stopped playing for a split second because he may have thought for a second that the out call came form a lineswoman, just enough for him to be a bit late getting to the next shot from DelPo, which is exactly what happened.

If Fed can turn this around he will kill Tsonga in the SF, but be killed in the final by Nadal. However, if Djokovic turns this around, he will probably beat both Fed or DelPo in the SF but be killed by Nadal in the Final. Its a lose-lose-situation :?
